Ouch! How Richie Can Ease That Sunburn

Just looking at Richie Sambora’s sunburn hurts us (it also hurts that Denise Richards looks that good in a bikini after two kids, but we digress). But his Hawaiian vacation doesn’t have to be spent in pain when there are so many great products on the market to ease a bad burn. Clarins After Sun Gel Ultra Soothing, $27, takes the heat out of a burn, and Crabtree & Evelyn After Sun Soothing Spray, $18, has aloe to reduce the sting and moisturize. And of course, if Richie wanted to avoid getting a burn in the first place, he should pick up some Jack Black Sun Guard SPF 30 and a swim-shirt from Coolibar, designed to block 98% of UV rays, $50.

Right Now We’re Loving: Eco-Friendly Tote

So, maybe being eco-friendly doesn’t have to cost a fortune! Inspired by Al Gore’s successful documentary An Inconvenient Truth, the designers of the drool-worthy Hayden-Harnett handbag line introduced this canvas tote printed with environmentally safe dyes. And even better, for every bag sold, 10 trees will be planted, and $25 will be donated to a combination of global warming charities including stopglobalwarming.org and Conservation International. Since the bag’s introduction earlier this month, 870 trees and the company has contributed an additional $2175 to stop global warming. And come on, it’s just adorable. To purchase the tote for $55, go to haydenharnett.com.

Start Your Day Off Like Carmen and Ivanka

Celebrities like Carmen Electra, Ivanka Trump, Tori Spelling and Fergie are starting their mornings off with ZoneChef’s Muffins. The Hollywood craze kicked-off on New Year’s Day, but already orders have been placed for an entire month! The trans fat free and high in protein muffins come in a variety of flavors including lemon poppy, double chocolate chip, oat bran, blueberry (left), brown sugar and oatmeal and apple cinnamon. Carmen Electra is a big fan of the double chocolate chip. Here at StyleWatch we tried the muffins and must say they are a bit bland in flavor and dense, but if you are dieting they are a healthy alternative. The muffins are a good size and filling. They can be purchased in sets of 4 muffins for $19.95 at Zonechefs.com. What do you think? Would you eat these muffins for breakfast?

Secrets From the Set: How America Gets “Ugly”

Makeup artists on the set of Ugly Betty have a secret weapon for making America Ferrera’s sculpted real-life eyebrows look so, ah, thick on the show: They use Talika Eyebrow Extender, a clear brow gel with thin, hair-like fibers (they look like actual eyebrow hairs) suspended in it. In real life, it fills in over-thin brows or compensates for over-plucked brows while they grow in. We gave them a test drive and it really works, though it took a few practice runs to get it looking more natural than scary. You can get bushier brows on Sephora.com, $33.
