Scarlett & Nicole Start A Trend: 60's Printed Dresses

01/31/2007 at 06:00 AM ET

We’ve hit that time of winter where those of us in chilly climates can only dream longingly of wearing summer clothes — and sixties-style printed dresses are at the top of our list. Bright colors — like Scarlett Johansson’s fuschia– and swirling patterns –like Nicole Richie’s baroque flowers — add major pop to simple shapes. Wear them now with tights or bust them out when the weather gets warmer with a great pair of wedges.

Get the Look:

Star Splurge: Get a real Pucci like Scarlett’s from, $1380, or try this beaded mini from Milly at, $435.

Investment Pieces: Get groovy with a T Bags dress from, $175, or get some flower power with this Rebecca Taylor trapeze from, $371.

Style Steal: Get the look for way less with this knit shift from, $79 or this bright babydoll from, $38.

Get it on eBay: You’ll usually find some affordable knockoffs mixed in with a few vintage originals here. Search for Pucci Dresses on eBay.

I’m not a hater, but I must say that both these dresses
are um’ interesting. I think they make better shirts to paint in.

Do not like the dresses. Either one. Too ugly. Too short!

I like the baby doll look. It fits her body type even though I think she is a bit skinny. Ther’es this site I love it’s and they have so many different baby doll dresses and cute tops from Tsumori chisato.

The 60s are VERY much alive in my closet and i have never gotten a bad remark on my style, quite the opposite… The dresses look great and Scarlett looks better in this then if she were dressing like every other starlet/ normal woman out there.

I think Scarlett’s outfit looks complete here. Her smooth black Pantyhose really make it 100%. Without the Pantyhose/tights, it is more like drapery.
