Would You Wear Gold Platforms Like Heather Graham's?

01/30/2007 at 06:00 AM ET

Forget her short dress! How Heather Graham even managed to walk the length of the SAG red carpet in her sky-high Versace heels is still a mystery to us (maybe she took flats or slipped them off under the table?). The Bobby actress even joked about them in the pre-show, calling the super-high platforms “stripper shoes.” Hmm. Perhaps it’s okay to go over the top to an awards show, but we can’t imagine wearing them out for just a regular night on the town. Tell us: What do you think of these platform heels? Will you be wearing them?

If you love ‘em, we’ve rounded up a few styles that are pretty similar to Heather’s.

Marc by Marc Jacobs square buckle and T-strap satin lightweight platform sole, $345, nordstrom.com

BCBGirls Women’s Rinaldo Platform Slingback gold crisscross toe with buckle accents, $110,

absolutley hideous. It does nothing for her. The shoes probably weigh more than she does….

I’d only wear those if I was 5’3″ or under and trying to look tall. Yeash. Whatever happened to pretty, dainty shoes to go with pretty, dainty dresses?

Anastasia on

No the look like they are from the 1970s!

The dress is technically pretty but looks strange on her frame–like it’s falling down. Not flattering.

On the other hand, the shoes are just plain dumb looking. They are a cross between seventies platforms and stripper shoes, and the gold hue just makes them look more ridiculous.

And who is she anyways? She was in Bobby? Well I have heard of her before that but I don’t know where.

I’m short myself, and I always wear big shoes to bring the illusion that I’m tall. I own all different kinds of heals. I have a few platform shoes and wedges. However, I don’t wear the platform shoes with dresses, I mostly wear them with cuffed trousers or wide legged pants, boot legged pants or a nice pant suit. I wear my wedges with cropped pants or shorts. You can look classy while wearing a “stripper” shoe. I agree with most on here, I like the platform on Heather Graham, but I just love the dress and the platform ruins it, but Versace made the shoe look very classy and I love the gold.

don’t like them, Though the dress is really pretty. However… to wear a strapless you need to have perfect shoulders and perfect posture too! She doesn’t have either…

This dress had such great potential and the shoes COMPLETELY ruined the entire outfit. Where were her “fashion advisors”? They need to be fired!! If that dress was just a little longer and she was wearing beautiful, classy heels then the outfit would look spectacular!

Yuck! I don’t like that with that beautiful dress.

unlike many ladies out there, she could wear anything she wants and still look good!

I think they are so hot I mean I would lick them if i had the chance!
