Amanda Peet’s Maternity Style

I’ve had a style crush on Amanda Peet for years — I love that she tries new shapes and styles, but it always seems like her own taste and not an attempt to be trendy. Assuming she wasn’t going to ditch her normal fashionable ways, I’ve been pretty curious about what the Studio 60 star has been wearing during her pregnancy. So she finally hit the red carpet of the Smoking Aces premiere, and I was thrilled! She looks great and is totally in step with major spring trends, from the rosettes on her winter white 3.1 Philip Lim coat to her sleek ponytail. Her kid is totally going to give Kingston a run for his best-dressed baby title. — Melissa Liebling-Goldberg.

I get that she’s pregnant, but I have sheets that are more flattering.

Love the coat, but I’m not sure about the black tights. They look casual and too dark, like something you’d wear with a denim skirt or a darker dress. The dress looks very light and flowey and would have looked better with bare legs.

Maybe there is something wrong with my screen but I can’t tell what she is wearing??? It just looks like a white dress with black leotards. Nothing special to me. Personally, I thought Gwen was the worse dress when she came to maternity clothes. Why did she have to dress like a guisha for? Taking the hiro girls a little too far.

i think amanda is one of the prettiest women in hollywood. she looks cute here, but the tights are too much for me w/the shoes.

I don’t really like this look. Maybe different stockings (maybe none at all)??? Definitely different shoes and a dress with more detail (this is way too plain). The only thing I like is the coat.

I actually think that is a very sweet look. She coulda done with out the black tights (hollywood needs to get over that style QUICKLY), but its winter time…whatever keeps u warm….

These opaque black tights with a white dress and coat look terrible. The look is not pulled together at all!

I think the black tights look nice, esp. set off against the black and white shoes. With white tights she’d look like a nurse, and without tights she and little…whatever its name is…would freeze. And I think part of the point of this post is that the coat is nicely detailed – stylish and trendy. I’m not certain maternity clothes are supposed to be “flattering” – these make her look very nice and minimize the fact that she looks like she’s shoplifting a basketball. Not everyone wants to go Demi Moore on a magazine cover.

I think it’s a cute outfit, but the black tights have got to go, they are horrible with the dress
