News flash – if Tyra Banks is 5′10″ tall and weighs 161 pounds, her BMI is 23.1, which puts her in the normal range. Just because someone is not skeletal, it does not mean they are fat.

It is neither immoral nor a crime to be overweight, and certainly not to be of a normal, healthy weight. Tyra looks gorgeous in almost all photos, and her misfortune in having a less than stellar shot taken of her is proof of nothing more than her being human.

What a sad commentary…..Tyra Banks gains 30 pounds….how sad we as humans judge each other based on a waist size versus a heart size. Tyra is not only beautiful she is her own woman. She is an advocate for woman everywhere. She is out there making a difference everyday…working hard, working with women from all walks of life. Teaching women to love, accept and care for themselves. There is something to be said for being comfortable in your own skin….even if you happen to excess.

A comment a few down about how Tyra is in the industry that judges women on how they look bugs me a little bit. Tyra doesn’t model like she used to, she’s done with that. She put in years of good modeling where she had to watch everything she ate to keep that model look. Now that she’s done who wouldnt want to eat a little more and enjoy food and her naturally beautiful body? Yeah, she is host of a modeling show, but she judges those girls on if they are model material all around, not on their size alone. She’s not stupid, she knows people judge and she knows thats what the industry is about, but just becuase she gained a little weight doesn’t mean she’s not fit to be a judge/host on ANTM. Besides, comments about your size, regardless of who you are, would upset you, no matter what you do or how much confidence you have in yourself. She’s doing a great thing for all women and girls, she’s being herself and letting everyone know that it bothers her how nasty some people can be, but it’s not going to stop her from being the great person she is. Who really believes tabloids anyways? Tyra is gorgeous and I hope none of this negative talk EVER gets her down because she is probably one of the biggest role models for so many people, it’s just sad that people can be so incredibly shallow and mean to other people over a few pounds. It’s ridiculous really. Tyra you’re awesome and beautiful!!!

I would much rather have the natural beauty and healthy glow that Tyra has then to look like Paris Hilton or Nicole Ritchie – yuk! You go girl and keep your chin up! We “normal” size girls are there for you and you ROCK!!! Loving you in Canada!

It’s really funny because in Jamaica where I come from most men would say this is the best she has looked in years. Thin girls here would love to know how she put on the weight as they are the ones who are unattractive here.

How dare people say anything negative about Tyra, she has helped thousands of girls around the world, with feeling beautiful about themselves with or without a “models body”! I am not the skinnest person, but I have friends, family, and a man that loves every bit of me! So what Tyra is a NORMAL person, whoever has negative feelings towards her or her body needs to take a good look in the mirror! TEAM TYRA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
