she’s right! it’s got to stop! women have to believe that they are FINE just the way they are. why is it so difficult for us to believe? she’s made that her mission… an important one and not an easy task. i applaud you tyra. dont stop now. fight this one for all the women out there!

This is not a case of attempting to glorify the overweight, as one of the previous posters suggested. I am 5’10″ and fluctuate between 155 and 162 and you’d be hard pressed to find someone who wouldn’t consider me pretty thin. Also, according to every standard in the book, Body Mass Index etc, this is a healthy and normal weight for someone of my height. I run 25-30 miles a week, am extremely conscientious of my diet and take pride in my appearance. It’s ridiculous that I would be considered large, and it’s ridiculous that anyone would consider Tyra large. Maybe the particular photo that has caused all the fuss was not flattering, but Tyra is still thinner than most women. It’s infuriating to me that it’s even a matter of debate. 5’10 and 160 pounds is simply not very big.

1. Tyra is not fat, her weight is quite normal for her height.
2. If Tyra really cared about how girls view themselves and how they are affected by body image, she wouldn’t host a show like ANTM, which berates women for their appearance. Yes, they are trying to be models and the industry has standards, but everytime she criticizes someone for how they look, some girl at home is getting depressed because she looks the same or has the same feature. She is not thinking, “Well I can’t be a model” she is thinking “Models have to be pretty and I can’t be one, so I can’t be pretty.”

I think Tyra looks awesome, more of a role model to women now then being skinny. She is living what every woman lives with, a up and down weight and she makes all of us women proud because she tells us its ok to have a few extra pounds. She has alot more going on with her and her life then whether shes is 30 lbs heavier or not and is a excellent example to young girls that its ok to have curves. Keep up the great work Tyra, your true fans love you!!!

Tyra looks real – and beautiful – don’t change a thing.

I’m not a fan of her’s, but no way is she fat, move on this story is not interesting

If she is so happy with her body then why is she hiding her “porkchop arms” in that photo? I think it looks airbrushed too. Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against her, I’m also 5’10″ and I weigh 160 pounds. I wouldn’t consider myself fat either, but the difference between the stalkarazzi photo and her own cover photo is astounding. Come on Tyra, if you are so proud of your body, then don’t hide behind make-up and airbrushing.

Good for you, Tyra! You rock! Hollywood needs more REAL women anyway. You are more beautiful now than before.

When you are up there is always someone trying to bring you down. Tyra is an amazing woman on the inside and the outside. She is a breathtaking beauty at 100lbs. or 200lbs. I am happy to see her loving life and being very successful at the same time. She inspires me with her confidence and generosity. People are mean and miserable and sometimes saying hurtful things is their only pleasure in life. It’s really very sad. Don’t be discouraged Tyra, just pray for those lost ones. Besides let’s see their picture in a bathing suit, I bet they couldn’t hold a candle to the “FIERCE” Ms.Tyra Banks. Keep your head up Tyra, your judge is not down here on earth.

While I think Tyra is beautiful inside and out, I think she should learn to roll with the punches, especially if she’s capitalizing on the image of the rail thin model through America’s Next Top Model. Maybe she needs to turn it into America’s Next Plus-size Model.
