I think Tyra is gorgeous and seems to be so real. I usually could care less if the tabloids trash someone but I honestly feel bad for her. I think it is great that she is making an example out of it though. The majority of America is over weight and there has to be someone out there sticking up for the “normal” people. You go Tyra! :)

Good for her!!! I’m glad to see Tyra sticking up for herself. More models are dying daily from eating disorders and so what if she gained weight. Sorry to break the news to you, but that whats happens to your body as you get older.

You go Girl!!!! And she’s going 100 mph!!!

I think Tyra looks beautiful! As long as she’s happy with herself and healthy, isn’t that really all that matters? With all the talk of too skinny models and actresses, it’s refreshing to hear of a celebrity and former model with a realistic body image. GO TYRA!

I think she looks great either way. She is naturally curvy and I don’t mean chubby-curvy. She has hips and large breasts. I have the same problem. I will never be able to fit into a size zero just due to my bone structure, forget about skin, fat or muscle on top of them. I commend her for standing up and saying, it’s ok to be above a size 2 and you don’t have the right to say those things about me. Whatever happened to the days of real hollywood glamour and the great and curvy Marilyn Monroe body type. She was a size 10 or 12 and no one trashed her image. That was true beauty and Tyra fits right in with that. She encourages healthy self images not malnourished “model” weight goals.

Tyra is a beautiful person on the inside AND the outside no matter what her weight!! Good for her and her positive attitude!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Ms. Tyra Banks! I love her talk show, and I think it’s great of her to fight back about that “fat photo.” Yes, she is bigger than she used to be…so what? She is in no way “fat” and it’s disgusting for tabloids and blogs to refer to her that way. Its amazing that she can keep a positive attitude while enduring such harsh criticism. I think she was, is, and will continue to be GORGEOUS her entire life, regardless of how much she weighed/weighs. TEAM TYRA!

I’m glad that Tyra is speaking out about the weight she’s gained and how horribly people have reacted to it. I’m so tired of reading every day how “awful” some celebrity looks just because they’re not super-skinny. Whatever happened to loving women with curves? Lately everywhere I turn both the media and the public seem fixated with the notion that you have to be stick thin. It’s ridiculous. Even 5 years ago, a woman like Tyra was considered beautiful and voluptuous. Now she’s insulted and labelled “FAT”!! What has happened to the world? Even if she was fat (which she isn’t) is fat really the WORST thing a person can be?

It’s interesting that Tyra chose a career in an industry that judges women almost solely on how they look and how thin they are. Now that she chooses not to maintain the model standard she is upset that they are still judging her. She doesn’t want to be judged but she is a host of America’s Top Model which judges other girls. It seems a bit hypocritical.
