Skin Is In on the Red Carpet

From Cameron’s red lips to Angelina’s winged eyes, there were plenty of trendsetting looks on the red carpet at the Golden Globes, but what do they all have in common? Makeup artist to the stars Trish McEvoy tells PEOPLE that on this year’s red carpet “the emphasis [is] on beautiful, flawless skin, the perfect palette for whatever was to come.” And if your skin isn’t naturally perfect, McEvoy notes that it is all in the technique. “Celebs make the same mistakes that all women make — not blending properly and leaving obvious lines of demarcation between foundation, blush, etc. Blending is what keeps the look natural.” And isn’t looking naturally flawless the name of the game for any women? Tell us: Whose skin did you think looked great at the Globes?

I didn’t like Rene’s make up. Her face looked too red as if she has a skin condition. About 4 years ago at the Oscars, her face was worse. I didn’t like Angie’s make up. It looked like something young teenagers would wear. On a positive note, I’m glad me and my flat iron are no longer lonely.

I want a close up of Eva Longoria! She had the most amazing complexion and make-up…I wanted to know the secret!

Beyonce’s dress was not that wonderful but her flawless glowing skin is a definite attention grabber anywhere she goes skin is always in for her for sure.

This girls skin is flawless!

Kristin

Not to sound cynical, but in Hollywood- has skin ever NOT been in???

cate and beyone’s skin looked great, though i didn’t care for either of their dresses. jada pinkett smith’s skin always looks perfect. i thought angie’s choice of makeup (her eyeliner was ridiculous) was poor as was the gold jewelry w/that gray dress, not to mention the tatoos. worst part though? her attitude.

Alexandra

totally agree with j
