Jewelry With a Cause: Vita Bangle

Here’s an easy way to contribute to the effort in Darfur: buy yourself one of Revolveclothing.com’s special edition Vita charity bracelet, designed exclusively for the site, $44. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the silver-plated and snake embossed leather bracelet goes to the International Rescue Committee, a which is devoted to providing aid to regions torn apart by violence and oppression. Every bracelet helps to aid the millions of people displaced by the crisis in Darfur and in return, you get one of today’s “it” bangles for your wrist (Kate Bosworth, Kirsten Dunst, Cameron Diaz, Nicole Richie, Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson and Lindsay Lohan are all fans).

I wouldn’t wear that but my 4 year old really likes it. (She thought it was a ring, thought.)

I’d like to know which percentage of funds actually goes to those in need. Things like this always seem so sketchy to me.

P.S. The bracelet is ugly.

I’d have to see what outfit I’d be wearing with it, but
I wouldn’t want to totally dismiss the bracelet. It’s
not that terrible.

That braclet is really really ugly.

it is pretty but it looks like something my grandma would wear

In regards to the proceeds, we are donating 100% to charity, you are welcome to check the link or to contact the International Rescue Committee directly.

Thanks for your feedback.

Grow up people! The bracelet represents something, its not just about how your arm looks wearing it– hopefully it is distinctive enough that people will ask questions, and you can educate them!
