The color does become her. It’s hard enough for us full-figured girls to find stylish clothes. So, I can only imagine how hard it is for a celebrity to find something that has the ‘WOW’ factor – for all those red carpet events.

As you pointed out, too, she’s still a newcomer to being on the ‘star’ level. It’s not easy getting the hang of things and figuring out what looks good on camera too. I was once a guest at an Academy Award luncheon and I can remember how grateful I was to be an ‘unknown’ person… ’cause I couldn’t afford a designer dress. I had to buy something off the rack. : ( I’m glad new designers are starting to make more ‘diva-like’ clothing in plus-sizes. I just hope the full-figured women will support them. Too many stores are getting rid of their plus-size departments.

The outfit itself is not flattering to my favorite Grey’s Anatomy cast member, but the color is good on her, and her smile is sincere, infectious and says that she is glad to be where she is and happy to have been acknowledged. As she becomes more and more accustomed to being honored by her peers and fans, she will get it together and dress like the best of them — Halle Berry, Gabriel Union, Angela Bassett, Vanessa Williams. OK wanna be fashion critics, we all have to start somewhere! Lighten up!

The shiny satin sleeves just make her arms look a lot BIGGER which I believe she’s trying to hide. If I were the designer I would propose soft chiffon sheer sleeves to cover the arms, and a cocktail length dress to accommodate her height.
She’s a beautiful woman but now she looks like a giant ball of grapes! Sorry! Nothing personal. Just she has bad taste, she definitely need a stylist!
