You Asked, We Found: Katie Holmes' Patent Flats

01/08/2007 at 06:00 AM ET

Can you please identify the flats that Katie Holmes is wearing on pg. 16 of Star Tracks in this weeks People (dated Jan. 8th)? Photo taken in LA on Dec. 18 with Connor. Thank you!Marianne

Katie Holmes does have enviable style, especially her shoes! This time the young mom and new bride stepped out in a sensible — but very fabulous — pair of flats while delivering gifts and a Christmas tree to an underprivileged family in L.A. The patent leather mary jane-like flats are part of Christian Louboutin’s autumn/winter 2006 collection and are available in limited sizes and an array of colors including black, leopard and Katie’s for $525 by calling Barneys New York at 212-826-8900. To get the same look for a steal check out this Dolce Vita pair for only $88 at shopintuition.com.

they are cute shoes

these shoes are kinda cute, but katie holmes and “enviable style” do not belong in the same sentence.

Love the shoes, but too expensive. I saw similar black ones in Macys and Lord and Taylor.

Well that’s YOUR opinion faith.

Enviable style shouldn’t appear as overly scripted. The color is nice but they don’t look like they support her foot at all, no cushion and they bow-out like boats. Wouldn’t something like sneakers have been more appropriate? Just because you can easily afford something, it doesn’t mean it’s always the best choice. Is it really giving when your shoes cost more than the gifts?

I don’t really care for the shoes but they look cute on Katie.

Agree with post by “katie” about expensive, designer shoes not being appropriate wear for “helping” the underprivileged… unless it was actually just a photo op… ?

They make her feet look as though she cramed them into a a pair two sizes too small. They look painful. Look at her left foot, it appears her foot is overflowing the shoe. I bet she has blisters when she takes off these things.

I love the shoes. Wish I had a spare $525 to spend on them though! Rent or shoes, rent or shoes…hmmm!

a very expensive ugly pair of shoes.
