My Hair Secret Weapon: Terax

I can accept that my body is never going to look like Kate Beckinsale’s or Demi Moore’s, but at least I have a shot at hair like theirs. I have become obsessed with Terax, a European cult favorite that is best known for the Crema conditioner which both Beckinsale and Moore swear by. And for good reason! My hair is softer and shinier than I can remember it being in years (and I swear it cuts down on my blow-drying time). I can’t get enough of the Latte shampoo, which takes off the gunky residue that my styling products have left on my hair and smells like the most amazing coffee dessert ever. If your hair is oily, try the minty Bosco, or for a light leave-in conditioner, try the Life Drops. The added bonus of all the formulas? The recently re-designed bottles are totally adorable, too. — Melissa Liebling-Goldberg

Who’s Your Favorite Model?

When you think of supermodels, who pops into your mind? According to WWD, Manhasset, N.Y.-based Marketing Evaluations Inc. has found that Tyra Banks is actually the most recognized model to the American public. Number two on the list is Cindy Crawford, now 40, and 52-year old Christie Brinkley rounds out the top three — hardly the nubile teens that grace the pages of today’s fashion magazines. Check out any newsstand, and you’re more likely to see Daria Werbowy hawking Lancome or Gemma Ward in Prada, but Tyra’s successful America’s Next Top Model series and talk show have made her a household name. Others on this list: Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Elle Macpherson, Heidi Klum, Rachel Hunter, Gisele Bundchen, and Christy Turlington. Tell us: Who’s your favorite model? Who is the ultimate supermodel to you?

Should Kate Hudson Try a New Look?

Ever since she burst onto the scene in 2000 as Penny Lane in Almost Famous, Kate Hudson has been working a boho chic look that seems to fit perfectly with her sunny California girl good looks and giggly personality. And we love when stars develop a style that always works on them, like Jennifer Aniston’s laid-black classics or Cate Blanchett’s cutting edge-cool. But as we head into 2007, the haute hippie look is beginning to look a little dated — we can’t help but wonder if it’s time for Kate to switch things up a little? She could just ease off the scarves (whether on her head or her neck) the beanies and the floaty sundresses for a while. Kate consistently nails an easy glamour when she’s on the red carpet, even wearing one of our Best Dresses of the Year, so why not carry some of that sophistication over in her everyday life? Tell us: Should Kate try a new look? Or should she stick with her signature style?
