Gifts for Everyone: Splendid Stripes for Little Ones

What is it about stripes on babies that are so much cuter, not to mention more flattering, than stripes on adults? We think that Splendid Littles (the baby spinoff of supersoft t-shirt line Splendid) has the most adorable collection of onesies, hoodies and layered striped tops ($40-$62). Madonna and Guy Ritchie’s new baby David, as well as Jennifer and Ben Affleck’s little girl Violet, have already been photographed in the colorful pieces. Pick out some for the stylish baby in your life at milkshop.com (where friends of P. Diddy and Heidi Klum’s go for their baby gifts).

What Was Beyonce Thinking Yesterday?

Even though we picked Beyonce’s frightening Barbarella-inspired getup as one of the year’s biggest fashion disasters, the singer has been doing quite well for herself, on the red carpet at least. She’s dazzled us in gowns as she attended premieres of Dreamgirls and even glammed up the talk show circuit. But what happened to Beyonce yesterday during her appearance on TRL? We have some issues with her big, teased hair — think: when beauty pageants attack! — and her teal dress which gives her some extra girth downstairs. Sure, Beyonce has done worse — but she’s also been so much better . Tell us: Do you think Beyonce’s has hit another bad fashion note? Or are you a fan of her ensemble?

Selma Blair’s Dramatic New Haircut

Jason Merritt/FilmMagic; Kathy Hutchins/Hutchins

What compelled actress Selma Blair to crop off her bellybutton-length hair? “I was ready for a change,” she tells PEOPLE. “I think I’ve been trying so long to fit in to the long-hair girl kind of Hollywood thing and it’s just not me.” The newly single star (whose divorce from Ahmet Zappa was recently finalized) went for the asymmetrical look on a whim. “It reminds me of the silly haircuts I had in 7th grade that made me happy,” explains Blair who was out to support her Hellboy I and II director, Guillermo Del Toro’s newest wonder Pan’s Labyrinth, “and maybe a little bit of Linda Evangelista from the ’80s. The same guy that cut my hair — Garren — cut hers.” The sharp style is already gathering a mix of reactions. “When I drove up here tonight, a [valet] guy asked, ‘Sorry, sir, can I have your keys?’ I was like, ‘I’m a girl!’ That was funny,” laughs Blair. Tell us: What do you think of Selma’s new do? Is it a supermodel-do or a retro don’t?
