Gifts for Everyone: Eco-Friendly Handbags

Buy a gift, plant a tree — that is just what happens when you shop at Ecoist.com. Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Cameron Diaz are all fans of the bags, made from recycled materials like gum wrappers, movie posters, and even confetti. Check out the festive clutches (only $14- $25) and the carry-all totes, $128, in loads of different colors. For each bag purchased, the company plants a tree through the organization Trees of the Future. Now that’s a gift that keeps on giving!

I checked out the site and they have some pretty interesting looking hand bags. I think they are pretty cool..but I wouldn’t spend $58 on one of them thats for sure.

For that much money, you would think they could plant more than one tree!!

These are really cool, and Cameron Diaz was spotted wearing one a few weeks ago.

They are handcrafted in Mexico. I’ve seen these around, super nice and very affordable. Anyone know how many trees are planted for a $2,500 Moschino bag ?
