Nick Lachey's New York State of Mind

12/18/2006 at 05:00 PM ET

While Nick Lachey was one of the headliners at the Z100 Jingle Ball bash in New York on Friday, the singer did more than just woo the crowd with his love songs: He made a supportive fashion statement. Lachey, who spent some time in the gift lounge before the concert, modeled FDNY Heritage Maltese cap, which is part of the new “Wear NYC” campaign that features clothing emblazoned with logos of various New York City agencies, including the NYPD, and other departments. Of course, a portion of the proceeds benefit the agencies directly. And Nick’s not the only one hearting New York — Liv Tyler is a fan of the City of New York Dept of Sanitation t-shirt while Martin Scorsese naturally prefers the “Made in NY” clothing from the Mayor’s office of Film. I think he is truly a class act guy. I wish him all the happiness in the world.

I saw him on a special regarding his album and how much he really put on it, etc. He was not shy on his feelings about the difficulties he had been having, I must say this man is awesome and has a big heart! I just love this man!!

I LOVE HIM…always have…back to the 98degrees days…He is such a good guy and he deserves all the best!

Jessica was a fool to let this one get away, but it is probably all the better for him. Now he can find a woman with the sale goals in life as him. There is more to life than a career….family is far more satisfying!

Simply HOT! Jessica you fool, but then again you already know that!
I wish him all the best and happy future with Vanessa.

I like New York—I think Nick Lachey is BORING.

Nick is an idiot! Jessica, I’m glad you got rid of him, even if your reasons were really idiotic. (She saw a double rainbow and thought that it meant she had to move on from Nick)

The hat is definitely an antique if not heritage. It’s frayed at both corners. It must be a good luck charm hat, pulled out of the attic or perhaps from a museum.

Nick’s so darn good-looking that nobody noticed. Actually he wears frayed well. It’s even a little yellowed with oxydization but who cares, look at that gorgeous face.

I dislike the new curve, it’s too extreme. A gentle curve is better. The new curve is like “boy’s club” curved, it’s a statement that you’re one of the “in” boys. It’s anti-intellectual when it becomes gimmicky and cliched.

Is this some sort of test to see if we have a discerning eye? If celebrity power and money overpowers our senses?

Nick is a fantastic guy and deserves the best. He puts effort in everything he does with music and family. He knows what is best and does his own thing which is hot!
