Get Sarah Michelle Gellar's Street Chic Look

12/15/2006 at 05:00 PM ET

Our daily Star Tracks pictures often inspire shopping sprees, but it’s rare that we find ourselves wanting a head-to-toe look! But this photo of Sarah Michelle Gellar immediately sent us on a hunt. Taken on the set of her upcoming movie The Girl’s Guide to Hunting & Fishing, it captures NYC street chic at its best: Right down to the Prada bag and Christian Louboutin platforms. IMDB credits Patricia Field (of Sex & the City fame) as the costume designer, so it’s no wonder we find ourselves lusting after this look. Here’s how you can get it for yourself (with and without star’s budget).

The Top: Trina Turk pleated blouse, nordstrom.com, $194. Or Try: Victoria’s Secret puff sleeve top, victoriassecret.com, $48.

The Pants (they look leather in the photo but we like satin better): Dolce & Gabbana satin pants, saksfifthavenue.com, $1,150. Or try: Frederick’s of Hollywood skinny pant, fredericks.com, $44

The Bag: Prada Gauffre bag, raffaello-network.com, $1, 645. Or Try: ASOS ruched bag, asos.com, $38

The Shoes: Christian Louboutin platforms, saksfifthavenue.com, $710. Or try: Go Jane peep toes, gojane.com, $19

I love SMG, but let’s be honest. This looks more street-walker chic!

stacey on

You can buy shoes similar to the ones in the pic at Target in either black or red. The Target shoes are patent leather. They are cheap too. Just another option.

Not a fan of the look, but hey, to each his own.

hoogee on

Not a fan of the look, I like her natural look better. She looks like she’s trying way too hard.

A brown bag with red and black? No thanks. The ridiculous price tag doesn’t make it work in the slightest.

tia on

ewww, i wouldn’t want her “street chic” look!

andrea on

i wouldn’t want this look, especially for the price. you could go to the thrift store and find something very similar to this. the satin pants (even though they look like pleather) are not doin it for me. hideous. that brown bag is half the size of her body too, and quite ugly.

Rebecca on

No thanks! Maybe paired some other way, but not all these pieces together. It might be an okay outfit for a movie, but not for me, thanks. Are those the new “comfortable” heels? If so, they would be the one thing I’d want to buy…

Natalie on

I love SMG! But I think the outfit would look a little more her if she was wearing dark denim jeans instead of those outrageous black pants. But you can’t blame a girl for trying.

nona on

TOO MUCH!
not only is the price over the roof, but half the things are not (to my taste) that nice.. sorry to say, hate the skinny pants and those pants! please something new!

cathy on

I like her hair color. . .thats it. Brown with black is the biggest fashion NO NO. But she is still very cute.

love the bag, looks expensive and luxurious…but i’m not feeling the outfit..either that shirt needs to be a dress or those pants need to be traded for a pair of jeans (i heard Acne jeans are really comfortable)..but from her head up she looks very put together. And i wish i could afford a pair of christian louboutin heels but i could buy 10 different articles of clothing for that price….lucky her

I love Sarah Michelle Gellar as much as the next one, but I don’t have the desperate need for this outfit, that’s for sure.

She’s on the SET of her MOVIE people! I’t not like this is everyday wear for her. I still think she looks good, and a lot better than some clebs, who will remain nameless!

alicia on

Love it!!! The price…ouch! Sarah looks great and the outfit looks just wonderful on her.

Frab on

Yes, we know she’s on the set of her movie- but it’s still too over the top and hopefully she doesn’t pick up the look in real life!

Elda on

She looks red hot!

i love skinny pants, but it all depends on the shoes you wear with them. if you’re going to wear skinny pants you almost HAVE to wear ballet flats or else you end up with clown feet. everything about this outfit is a miss. i do realize it’s for a movie though so that makes it alright, but as for wearing this in “real life”.. no. who wears this kind of stuff anyway?? i live in downtown nashville and we’re all trendy, but casual. i’ve never seen someone wear something like this and if i did i would think they were pretty trashy actually.

jenna on

love the top and shoes but the leather pants throw it off. it would look great with jeans!

gg on

Yuck! The shoes, ok! The purse, ok! All of it put together with those rediculous pants is horrible, I don’t care if it is for a movie or not.

Brooke on

YAY! I love it! She has such great fashion sense. Keep it up, Sarah!

annie on

Love SMG, but please, lose the brown purse and the RED
blouse. The red is too stark for her light complexion…
she’s too beautiful for a color that wants to jump out
at you!!!!!

Taylor on

I love Sarah, & I like everything but the shirt. the hair is cute!

ashx3 on

CUTE Sarah..but i would lose the bag..but neway cute!..N by the way i so love your show BUFFY! i still watch it all the time.

Martine on

I love the leather pants, which are CLEARLY LEATHER. I love the red and black, and the brown bag is actually good so everything isn’t too matchy matchy. Actually i love mixing brown and black. The people commenting here really don’t sound exactly like fashion types. So their comments don’t mean very much.
