Matthew McConaughey Is Mad For Plaid

It’s a rare thing to find Matthew McConaughey wearing a shirt, let alone a suit, but PEOPLE’s former Sexiest Man Alive indeed suited up – in brown and orange plaid, no less – to plug his latest film, We Are Marshall. And when the film is released on Dec. 22, you might recognize McConaughey’s ’70s-inspired threads. Why? Well, he sported those suits in the film. Like another actor who has been caught wearing his costumes off-screen, McConaughey explains that his clothes brought things into focus for him. “The plaid suit helped me find the character,” he told the press. “I loved it. Still wearing them!” Fair enough, but we think McConaughey might just have a flair for the ’70s. What do you think about McConaughey’s dated threads? And should actors still wear their costumes when filming wraps?

Hmmm….I *think* Plaid will be back on the runways in 1 year,maybe 2 ( my personal prediction)There is something about Mr. Hawt wearing a plaid blazer that makes him even more delish and he makes it work( even though it was for a movie)

In essence? Watch and see what the designers will be conjuring up for Fall/Winter ‘07/’08. I am excited to see what the men’s collection will look like!

I am also factoring in the whole 80’s thing doing a come back as a premise for my thoughts.Are we done with the 80’s just yet? Not quite but I look forward to seeing some of the trends fade away….

I did not like the look in the 70’s so to me it is quite a scare to see McConaughey steping out in costume. The film has wrapped up hang up the suit. I don’t see a problem if actors wear their costums after the movie is done but as long as it is stylish. Plad belongs on flannel shirts.

just like David Beckham this is a man that could pull off just about anything and still be the most attractive man in the room.
This man is so hot and seems so likable anything he wears (or doesn’t) is ok with me!

He looks great no matter what he’s in. Being a lifelong resident of the Mountain State, it’s good to see we rubbed off on him! Some of the teachers my daughter has in middle school STILL dress that way! We have our own sense of style and culture. Never mind the “costume” Matthew’s been seen wearing is from thirty years ago. Here, we love him anyway! We’re proud to have him represent us! He’s Wild and Wonderful!

I like the clothes, look good on him.

But the thing I’m looking at is his nose. Did he have it fixed or something? :o S When you look at the picture on the site left, you see a difference (ok its from a different angle but still!)
