Dakota Fanning: Little Miss Fashionista?

Move over, Lourdes, there’s another prepubescent style princess in town: Dakota Fanning is the fashion industry’s latest (and most likely, youngest) darling. Not only was the precocious 12-year-old shot by none other than Karl Lagerfeld for the January issue of Vanity Fair, but Marc Jacobs chose the Charlotte’s Web star to be the face of his ad campaign which breaks in the February issues of Vogue and W. (He commissioned smaller versions of his adult clothes for the actress.) That tapping sound you hear is Abigail Breslin furiously calling her agent.

CUTE, but she is too young for all this attention.

ugh. I hate Dakota Fanning. She looks about 8 and plays on it. I am 13, go to a gifted school and am moderately pretty. Everyone I know thinks shes stupid.
what a spoiled brat

That’s stupid. She’s only twelve, and she’s not that great of an actress.

Wow, she looks seriously creepy. The fur jacket is kinda cute, but the mini-flapper outfit? Frightening!

I admire Marc for picking Dakota since she really fits in with his style of what he does. His ads are never always of just random models wearing his clothes but rather he picks people such as artists and his celeb friends. Even though Dakota is young, it targets a whole other audience I’m sure that she will fit right in with his new ad campaign. Kudos to Marc.
