If the rest of the outfit had more white it would work. Since the outfit is predominantly black, the white shoes look out of place. What were people wearing one hundred years ago? Eighty years ago? Thirty years ago? Five-hundred years ago? There are no rules to fashion except within a myopic mind. It comes down to what looks good, not what we are told looks good. That is, naturally subjective from person to person. I digress, the shoes need more black details or the rest of the outfit needs more white for a proper balance.
