Would You Wear Jessica Biel's Dress?

12/08/2006 at 01:00 PM ET

I’ll admit it, I covet Jessica Biel’s physique, which is why I was surprised to see her ditch her usual figure-clinging dresses and go for a voluminous baby doll dress by Giambattista Valli at the premiere of her new movie recently. I was even more surprised at how great she looks — not her usual style, but sweet and sexy none the less. Now, for those of us who don’t log the hours at the gym that Jessica does to have her perfectly defined shoulders and legs, this look is more challenging. I would definitely wear this dress (if I could afford it and actually had a fabulous red carpet occasion), but I can see how it wouldn’t be for everyone. Tell us: Would you wear a dress like Jessica’s? What do you think of it on her? -- Melissa Liebling-Goldberg

I wore an Issac Mizrahi dress just like this one for my rehearsal dinner. It was adorable and everyone loved it…I got more complements on it than my wedding dress!

I think the bubble dress is a designer’s joke on women (“let’s see if they’ll really wear anything if we tell them it’s chic and new!”). I don’t think it’s flattering on anyone, but it seems like stylists want their clients to be photographed in one at least once to show they know the current trends. With so much else to choose from, why the bubble?

Pretty dress, I just don’t think it would look good on me. I have a different figure than Jessica Biel. She’s a very pretty girl and not a bad actress.

I love the dress. I think it’s super sexy still because it shows plenty of shoulder and just enough legs, etc. It’s sexy and sweet and a bit girly. She’s very muscular and fit, which could look a bit too masculine sometimes. The softness of this dress and her pulled back hair make her look much more feminine in some of her more form fitting outfits.

It looks good on her.

She should really be on what not to wear….am I like the only one who knows anything about style here? Anyhow her looks are over rated and the whole Jeter thing really isnt going anywhere. Please believe me. Im someone who cares more about who a person is for who they are inside: Heres my take on things: There is no sexy, there is no perfect, but what there is is theres unique. That comes from my heart.
