Has Hollywood Gone Mad for Plaid?

12/01/2006 at 02:00 PM ET

Is lumberjack chic overtaking Hollywood’s hottest men? We noticed Heath in his red-and-black plaid shirt a few weeks ago, which we chalked up to being a Brokeback Mountain memento. Then, we turned a blind eye towards Vince Vaughn in his plaid shirt, hoping it might be for his role in Fred Claus. But we just can’t ignore trend-setting Adam Brody’s buffalo plaid buttondown, though — more Brawny Man than Barney’s, the lumberjack look is clearly taking over for fall. Tell us: What do you think of the look?

I love the plaid look, it gives men a more well manly look. For me it gives the illusion of strength and protection.

Heath is making it work… Michelle should have caught that button for him though! And Adam can do no wrong–he’s yummy enough to eat with a spoon! I think it’s great that they are looking like regular guys–big improvement over the Tom Cruise look of the week if you ask me!

The plaid looks great. The hat on Adam… not so great.

I guess I can’t nag my boyfriend about getting rid of his ratty looking lumber jack flannel now :(

I really like cowboys, and when a guy looks great in plaid is when he’s a cowboy. I think some guys look great in it and others don’t.

Looks adorable on little boys, but unfortunatly, the look is not becoming. When I see the shirts above, I think about blankets. Plaid is great when it is in the right colors & material (flannel reminds me too much of pajamas.)
