Has Hollywood Gone Mad for Plaid?

Is lumberjack chic overtaking Hollywood’s hottest men? We noticed Heath in his red-and-black plaid shirt a few weeks ago, which we chalked up to being a Brokeback Mountain memento. Then, we turned a blind eye towards Vince Vaughn in his plaid shirt, hoping it might be for his role in Fred Claus. But we just can’t ignore trend-setting Adam Brody’s buffalo plaid buttondown, though — more Brawny Man than Barney’s, the lumberjack look is clearly taking over for fall. Tell us: What do you think of the look?

If Heath’s wearing it, I love it.

wow thats such a bad look.

Plaid almost always needs another layer. Go for a nice river-driver, or maybe a fleece vest underneath. If you’re going to do the plaid thing, do it full out. But maybe with less red.

(And Heath should consider buttoning his bottom button.)

I love plaid

Each man seems to be channeling his inner Jack Kerouac — and I love it! Lumberjacks are much more appealing than, say, an actor with a celebrity stylist who dresses him the next big trend from D&G. Wear what is comfortable and keeps you warm. I’d take a walk in the woods with Adam or Heath any day.

I think that thoes guys are verry cute. I think that the plaid look is very unbecoming.

EWWW!

Adam wears the plaid well I think, but might want to rethink the hat. It makes him look like Jason Lee (which isn’t a bad way to look, but Jason Lee has cornered the market on it already).
