Is Tom Taking Fashion Cues From Katie?

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes (and baby Suri!) are returning home from their honeymoon, rested after their lavish nuptials in Rome. Katie is in step with the island spirit in her floral halter, and Suri is adorable as ever in her all-white. But Tom . . .he looks like he might subconsciously be taking fashion cues from his new bride — his black buttondown under white blazer is awfully remiscent of Katie’s black and white suit that she wore in Paris in October. Is it just part of married life to blend your styles, or should Tom stick to his own taste? Tell us: What do you think of Tom’s look?

Has Hollywood Gone Mad for Plaid?

Is lumberjack chic overtaking Hollywood’s hottest men? We noticed Heath in his red-and-black plaid shirt a few weeks ago, which we chalked up to being a Brokeback Mountain memento. Then, we turned a blind eye towards Vince Vaughn in his plaid shirt, hoping it might be for his role in Fred Claus. But we just can’t ignore trend-setting Adam Brody’s buffalo plaid buttondown, though — more Brawny Man than Barney’s, the lumberjack look is clearly taking over for fall. My Lingerie Shopping Trip With Gisele!

Covering the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show means spending the week with Gisele Bundchen — hanging out at her fittings, flying with her on private planes, and lingerie shopping at — where else? — Victoria’s Secret. Suddenly, the Brazilian supermodel decides to pick out a little something for me, and it turns out that Gisele is a lingerie genius. “What size are you, a ___?” she asks me, getting it exactly right. “I’m an expert, you know what I mean?” I ask her which one she’s wearing. “This one,” she says, ripping open her blouse (no, seriously) to reveal the Very Sexy “push-up without padding demi bra” in Holiday Red. (She gets me one in white lace.) “Now let me get you a babydoll,” she says, “I like black myself. Black is always the sexiest lingerie.” Apparently I must also have the sexiest option, so Gisele hands me a black beaded number — with a totally see through back, no less. “You could wear this out as a dress!” says Gisele. Well, it is hot, but I think I’ll save this one for home. — Charlotte Triggs

Fashion Faceoff: Lindsay vs. Jade!

Considering how often Lindsay Lohan is photographed (every day!) and how often she changes clothes (at least once or twice an event!), it comes as no surprise that we would catch her wearing the same dress as another celeb. It’s just inevitable! Lindsay wore this hot-off-the-runway dress from Gucci’s Fall ’06 collection to the afterparty of her Just My Luck premiere in May. Several months later, Mick Jagger’s daughter, jewelry designer Jade Jagger, turned up in hers at a fashion week event in London. You decide: Who wears it better? The actress or the designer?
