Has Christina seen any of the videos of the way fur apparel is made!!!! This is NOT a must have This is a MUST NEVER EVER Have!!! Killing animals and also skinning them alive and torturing them to make us look “better” is ridiculous, IGNORANT, and pathetic. Fur should remain on the animal that created it! If we were meant to wear fur we would have been born with it!

oh, christina, christina…darling, you have such a pretty face and voice. the outfit would have been precious, too, if it weren’t for the fact that you have the fur of dead bodies, which are probably now rotting away somewhere, around your neck. i’m disappointed in you. i’m sorry, i’m not going to be buying your next album or anything from JC from now on. and people magazine, i’m glad i never subscribed to you- horrible how you say this hideous jacket is a must-have. also shows what little style the writer of this article has: the jacket is not even pretty. it’s boring, it’s drab, it’s not a fashion statement whatsoever. it’s been done, and in addition, it’s a clear represenation of CRUEL. like it or not, in our day and time, 80% of the world thinks real fur=cruel.

the scarf is beautiful though, as is her hair and i adore her red lipstick, it looks gorgeous on her. not many ladies can pull off bold red.

in reply to the comments- my godd. what’s up with some of the people here? you guys sound like one of those middle schoolers who are desperate to fit in. this is coming from a 14-year old, so just imagine how the rest of the world sees you, hm?

you’re trying to justify xtina wearing fur by saying we’ve done it for thousands of years. well, darlings, we’ve enslaved blacks for thousands of years until only about ninety years ago. ninety years=not a long time. women haven’t had many rights at all; in fact we only got the right to vote in flipping AMERICA [land of the free] like fifty years ago. so using the thousands of years response is dumb.

and also? for the people saying that fake fur is cheap and itchy and stuff. if you say that it’s itchy, you’re probably not a very good/big shopper because comfy faux fur’s really easy to find. faux fur cheap? well no flipping duh, but why would you splurge on something that looks exactly like something that would cost like $300 cheaper? did you know i bought a faux fur coat in korea for like $150, absolutely gorgeous

as a side note, i’d like to mention wool IS cruelty. 30% of the world’s wool comes from austrailia, where they send sheep to asia. there, the sheep get their heads cut off while fully conscious after suffering a long voyage across the ocean in a crowded, unsanitary ship. so please, when you boycott fur, boycott wool as well. it’s itchy and uncomfortable, anyways.

Isn’t it interesting that in the past, Christina has touted herself as a role model and here she is, wearing a fur-trimmed jacket in an age where faux fur is just as marketable and appealing?

Celebrities should get on the band wagon and realize that they can offer their fans so much more with alternatives to fur.

Shame on Christina and shame on People magazine for running that picture and touting the jacket as a must-have. Both can do better.

i love this look!! Christina looks great…she really has turned her life around and i think it shows in her style and confidence! It takes some courage and self-confidence to be able to wear fur with all of the fur-haters around!!

i find it interesting how some people would boycott wearing real fur and would still buy and wear faux fur from stores that subscribe to child labour and send the work overseas, where there are lax environmental regulations. There is no comparison between the life of a child or that of an animal. Hands down, I would choose the child and spare the animal.

Wow I never knew you could look so “beautiful” with a dead animal around your neck. These celebrities are role models for so many. Why can’t they wear faux fur to get the message across that killing animals for their fur is unnecessary and wrong???? Everyone should do some research and get aware.

Jessica & Donna: If people didn’t voice their opinion and speak out against things they believe are wrong, nothing would ever change. It is up to the compassionate people in this world to speak up for the animals. Why don’t you do a little research. Google “fur farms” and see if your opinion changes.

Wearing real fur promotes suffering, death, and a lack of compassion for animals.
