This is a matter of HUMAN RIGHTS! We need to boycott airlines until this BS stops! I would accept the .0001% chance of terrorism to be able to walk into the plane and not feel like a criminal. Everyone is very polite in their posts, but I know this is not right. Wake up sheep!

personnally i would like to know why they throw away our makeup bags and make-up??!
do they like searching us??!
do they like feeling up us or something??!..
like honestly,.., do they take it for them self.
i guess they probably do, either they cant afford it or they are just to lazy to buy their own!!?
ergh it really makes me mad to see a buinch of god makeup go ot waste!! the way they opperate this whole plan to throw awayour good prada makeup is really annoying. the best solution is to not travel by plane at all.:D

usually when ever i go out travelling or roaming around,i would just bring one big carry-on purses or “bag”. i find it much more better, because would you rather have your makeup with you or not with you?! know what i mean.. if your one of those girls that like to look good 24-7 like me:),i suggest you buy a carry-on hand bag, and store all of your make-up and excessories in it, instead of having it tossed away.!?:)

I think the new rules are a bit much. I understand the concern for safety but really this is going a little too far. I never carry these products with me I always put them in my checkin bag but even so, being cautious doesn’t mean you have to be paranoid.

I travel a great deal and it’s not really a big problem, just follow the rules. If you are vacationing somewhere warm, lighten up, you look silly at a resort in a face full of makeup anyhow, I just saw this last week! If it is business, use travel sizes. If it is a long flight or a long trip, check a bag with your liquids. Invest in good skin care rather than a lot of makeup to cover up your skin and you will benefit in more ways than one!

Isn’t there a way to back track, once you’ve been caught with make-up at security and then mail the stuff home? It would get too expensive to replace designer make-up.
This will probably create a new market for designer make-up houses: travel sizes.

Or why don’t they just have people apply make up right infront of them to show it’s not some explosive liquid? This makes me dread my next international flight.

I just don’t carry it on with me. If I really needed to I’d try to multi-task, I use a tinted lip-balm so that could double as blush, I don’t wear foundation but if I did I’d maybe take one that is a 2 in 1 as they aren’t really liquid. I always apply a waterproof mascara before flying too as it lasts longer and doesn’t smudge. My husband and I use a neutral shower gel and 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner on vacations to save space too. Moisturiser can be used to remove eye make up, body lotion can be used as aftersun…
You could always try buying some in the airport, as you do get it on the plane right? And you save money…

I have not yet travelled under the new regulations, but dreading it already. I fly Europe to US in a month and this just sounds like a pain in the butt. And after a 13 hour flight and not having seen my family for a while, I absolutely NEED some makeup to freshen up……I just wish that they would not throw it all away like that, we are getting checked and things get confiscated for security purposes, right? Well, if our lotions and glosses are such a threat, how come they get tossed in the bin and not some bio-hazard container? Stupid nonsense if you ask me!!

That is too much of security regulation tossing even a lip gloss and foundation. I will be traveling with an infant very soon, i hope what my son’s needs won’t get tossed. This new regulation is just too much in my opinion.

I recently travelled from florida to atlanta…and had ALL my makeup taken…even lipsticks and lipbalms. i was absolutely devestated as i like designer makeup and usually end up saving up for it, so the moment my makeup bag was taken i lost alot :[ was not happy!!

I had my $30 bottle of face lotion, my facial wash and my roll-on deodorant thrown away when heading to Poland one weekend. I wanted to cry. It was in a plastic bag also, but they were all too big and all liquid/lotion. Oh, the terror! Now I KNOW what to bring and what not to bring.

I’ve traveled quite a few times since the new rules came out, and it’s not a big deal. I don’t like to travel with full-size products anyway, so it’s pretty easy to throw what I need into a ziploc bag instead of a makeup case. L.L.Bean sells Nalgene travel-size bottles, which work very well for taking just enough shampoo, face cleanser, etc.

I just put them all in the bags that I check in. the only thing I have on my carry on bag is some chap stick, and that doesn’t get picked on. I’ve never seen the point of carrying your cosmetics on the plane.

I had my lipgloss taken from me by the security. I was very upset because my purse went through the x ray machine, then hand selected and searched, and then on the third search RIGHt before boarding security took my lipgloss! I was fuming the entire plan ride! Grrr

I dont usually take alot of makeup with me but i take an eyelash curler cause i have blck lashes and then some tinted lip balm and powder.Yep
