Mariah-Oh-Meter: Rate Her Look!

11/21/2006 at 06:00 AM ET

As other divas change their looks — Britney, Whitney, Courtney — you can always count on Mariah for her signature second-skin dresses and larger-than-life hairdos. At the Make-A-Wish Foundation gala in Beverly Hills this weekend, Mariah Carey turned up to be honored in a low-cut maroon micro-mini and sky-high metallic stilletos. On a scale of One being Congresswoman conservative, and Ten being ready for her video vixen close-up, we’d give this look a 7. Considering that it’s a charity benefitting children, a longer hemline and higher neckline would be a lot more kid-friendly! Tell us: On a scale of one to ten, how would you rate Mariah’s oh-factor in this look?

I think that people need to focus more on themselves and not on how celebrities choose to express there personal styles!!! Mariah Carey has been my favorite singer ever since I was a child, and I think she is beautiful in whatever she wears! Anyone who thinks otherwise is just jealous…..admit it! Keep doin your thing Mariah, you are an amazing singer!

It is unfortunate that those who have the ability to wear and dress the best fall so often into the category of poor taste. I never see her in any new cuts or styles that would flatter her. Mariah, think Halle Berry. Even in casual clothes she is always a class act.

I love that nobody read the rating system. All of the people that are giving her 9s and 10s and are saying that she is stunning should look more closely. “On a scale of One being Congresswoman conservative, and Ten being ready for her video vixen close-up”– you are actually saying she looks like she is getting ready to star in an adult film… which I couldn’t agree with more.

As usual, she looks like a sausage.

she looks too sleezy, she definitely needs to change her look –

Mariah looks great! If you have it flaunt it! The time will come when she or many of us can’t wear these styles so do it while you can if you want to! Life is too short to sweat the small stuff!

One word… trashy

I think that Mariah dresses this way because she feels like she has to keep up with the Beyonces and Ameries of todays music industry. She is not the only one who is getting a little older but still dresses like shes at a college frat party. Janet Jackson, J.Lo and Toni Braxton are just as guilty. I remember reading somewhere that she said that she doesn’t like long dresses and turtlenecks but at a kids event, she could have cleaned up a little.

yes some fashions are coming back into style, but this my dear send back to 1991, please stop wearing this crap. it makes us dislike you even more!

I really think that her image could really improve her CD sales right now. Everything about her screams “I’m in need of attention”. That tiny mini skirt she wore to a chilrens function was very distasteful. It’s one thing to show cleavage…but bum cheeks and cleavage is trashy. She needs to hire Britney’s make-over stylist. Hope you find what your looking for Mariah…dressing like a ho isn’t it.
