Trend Worth Trying: Missoni-Style Dresses

Recently, it seems like all of young Hollywood is dressing in wave-patterned knit dresses, the Missoni signature. Lindsay Lohan wore hers while out and about in L.A., Nicole Richie wore hers to a Playstation launch, and Paris Hilton feted Domino magazine in her belted dress. Accessories are best kept to a minimum to show off the sexy shapes and bold patterns, and these styles would look great layered over turtlenecks or under cardigans when temperatures drop. Simple, easy, and chic: what more do you need in a dress?

I don’t know about you!? But, I am really tired of seeing Lindsay (who is not even pretty and who tries way too hard to be cool!!!) Nicole (who looks like a pawsum that just woke up all time…..dazed, afraid, and confused!!) and Paris (well, Paris only wishes she was a discovered model!)
People Magazine…….please stop sending out your photographers to get pics of these annoying 20 somethings!!!
I don’t care what they wear!!!! What are they doing to help the world! People Magazine should create a “do-gooder” contest for these oblivious young “stars” so, their image in REALITY is…………”GOOD!”

The dress looks terrible on Lindsay and doesn’t look too good on Nicole. Paris is the only one who can pull it off. But I love Paris and Nicole!

I guess these dresses are cute, except for the fact it is 30º where I live, I might wear them! I don’t care for any of those girls they show wearing those dresses. I definitely wouldn’t put a Missoni dress on just because THEY did.

I have nothing to say because Katie and Katya have already said it (as several of the others above)! Lindsey is so over-rated it isn’t even funny. Nicole and Paris – we’ll they’re attractive gals that don’t take themselves too seriously – I just like that. And they do look better than the eternally messy looking Lohan. Who did she think she was kidding on Oprah? Guess I had more to say than I thought……

What’s with all the Lindsay hate? She’s an actress. She’s just young so maybe you haven’t seen her movies, most of which are geared toward a younger audience. At least she works. If anyone should be criticized it’s the other two who have no talent. What exactly do they do besides act rude on tv?

These dresses don’t need to be anything over $100 (and even that is pushing it). They’re alright but I’m sure there are cheaper knockoffs around, especially since they’re so casual.

Look, I belive that magazines need to stop putting these dresses in frount of us and think that all of us can afford those 2000 dollar dresses. Linsay first off never looks good, she is burnt out and needs to relax, nicole should gain a ton of wieght, and Paris is the only one that is pretty enough to wear this dress. Gosh, The dresses should be worth 100, mabey even 50.00. You can find on of those at the limited CHEAPER!!! Nicole and lindsay look like they came back from judy jetsons house!

Am I alone in thinking that this pattern could of possibly been inspired by those magic eye pictures? ….and if you look at Lindsay’s closely…you can see a ship!…if you look closely at Paris’s gown…you can see a Gorilla!…last but not least…when you look into closely at Nicole’s dress you can see the Playstation 3 logo on the wall. I know that Im just repeating what alot of people have already said, but I think that only Paris can pull off the dress. I don’t really like any of them (Lindsay is ok but she’s getting pretty low) so much, or the dresses. Paying $2000 for any item of clothing is just ridiculous. I’ve found cuter dresses for 20 bucks!

The dresses themselves are not that bad. Well, the style is cute and a really cute fashion trend for the season. All three of the dresses look great on all three of the girls. But, the only problem I have with them is the patterns of the dresses. A girl would have to be very thin and slender to pull off such a look (such a Nicole or Paris), but girls with fuller figures would not be able to do such a look. The patterens are too big and busy for fuller-figure gals and would just make them look bigger. Perhaps solid colors, like a baby pink or a sky blue? And a belt at the waist wouldn’t hurt either; something at the waist to give you an hourglass figure.

But seriously, $2300 for a sweater dress? Maybe Lindsey, Nicole and Paris have that sort of money to burn, but for us “regular folk” that’s just outragous. I’m sure that you could find one at Target or Dillard’s for under $40.

These girls are stylish and know what the fashion trend is. But what are they doing to help the world? Some things are more important than money, the important thing is giving away the money. Sure, Lindsay, Nicole and Paris have style, but do they have the giving spirit?

i think tht paris looks hott n nicole does an ok job wearing this dress but lindsay lohan looks awful as usual! i totaly agree that shes alwaus sloppy looking and not really talented. im not too big of a fan of nicole and paris either but they do look kinda cute. bottom line: overpriced dresses on overrated girls
