Lindsay Turns Anti-Fur: What’s Your Take on The Fur Debate?

No stranger to wearing fur, Lindsay Lohan was about to be named to PETA’s upcoming worst-dressed list. But a PETA spokesperon tells us that the actress seems to have had a change of heart after seeing the organization’s anti-fur window displays at Topshop in London. During her whirlwind week there — which included the Casino Royale after party and hosting the World Music Awards — she was seen wearing a white fake fur jacket and an anti-fur button on her hat. While PETA tells us that Paris Hilton and other celebs have sworn off fur, Jennifer Lopez and other stars have recently been spotted in fur-trimmed jackets. Tell us: Where do you stand on the fur debate? Would you wear it?

I’m a member of the ASPCA, and love animals the way I love people. I’m a HUGE believer in ANTI-fur and always will be. I don’t (and never will), understand why people wear fur. It’s just disgusting and little-minded.

chelsea

i would never wear fur. thats like killing an animal and pouring blood all over yourself. anyway it looks bad.

Brit

i dont wear fur.. i think its mean.

Dan

Doesn’t Jennifer Lopez’s clothing line exclusively use fur? She is an insipid woman anyway.
Props to the Lohan!

the bible has nothing to do with fur.just because your god put animals on earth, it doesn’t mean everyone has to wear them and eat them. I’d never wear fur.

There’s nothing wrong with wearing fur… just like there’s nothing wrong with eating meat, or wearing leather…
If you feel like it’s cruel and dont wear fur, thats fine and respectable, but don’t cry about it to the rest of us!

As a vegan, I don’t wear leather or fur but I’m tired of hearing that lame excuse “I wear leather so I may as well wear fur, what’s the difference?” There is a massive difference in terms of both animal suffering and (in the majority of cases) primary purpose of kill. Whether farmed or wild caught, fur bearing animals endure horrendous physical pain and psychological suffering and they are almost always killed primarily for their fur. That old adage about fur being a by-product of the meat industry just doesn’t wash!

i would not wear furr imagine someone skinning you i think its gross !
