Lindsay Turns Anti-Fur: What’s Your Take on The Fur Debate?

No stranger to wearing fur, Lindsay Lohan was about to be named to PETA’s upcoming worst-dressed list. But a PETA spokesperon tells us that the actress seems to have had a change of heart after seeing the organization’s anti-fur window displays at Topshop in London. During her whirlwind week there — which included the Casino Royale after party and hosting the World Music Awards — she was seen wearing a white fake fur jacket and an anti-fur button on her hat. While PETA tells us that Paris Hilton and other celebs have sworn off fur, Jennifer Lopez and other stars have recently been spotted in fur-trimmed jackets. Tell us: Where do you stand on the fur debate? Would you wear it?

Fur us great! I’ve been wearing it for years, and always will.

I wear real fur. I eat meats. I wear leather. I agree, those people who are against wearing fur I can guarantee you own leather….what about those poor animals? Hypocrites. Nothing wrong with wearing fur or eating meats…cry me a river PETA. Good for J Lo.

Are you kidding me Renee? “definitely would wear fur. God put animals on this earth and gave us dominion over them. Genesis 1-11. After Adam sinned, God made coats of skins and clothed Adam and Eve. To do this, God must have killed at least one animal (possibly more). I don’t believe in torturing animals, but they were put here to serve man.” They were not put here to serve man, and that mentality is the reason animals are suffering all around the world, for your selfishness. Disregard the bible for a moment, and think about evolution, we are all equal; we are animals too, you know.

Like Dawn said, fur has been used for thousands of years to keep people warm when there was nothing else to cover themselves with. Now we have the technology to create better kinds of materials (that are less expensive and easier to clean for pete’s sake) to keep ourselves warm.

Fur is cruel, but its also just a ridiculous luxury item these days. I suppose there will always be someone who doesn’t mind wearing pieced together animal skin though.

I would never, never, NEVER wear fur or leather. I would never, never, NEVER eat animals (meat, poultry, seafood). I rearch all beauty products before purchase, because it just feels right living cruelty free.

christa

i would never wear real fur…why wear an animal just to look cute….when it can live…there are plenty of other things to wear

cara

Killing animals for their fur is a terrible thing and anyone who supports this deserves to be treated like the animal they think they look so good wearing!

Misty

Kasia….it is the circle of life…get over it. If she (Mary NOT Renee) wants to believe biblically, so be it. At least she isn’t cramming it down peoples throats like PETA is. If we want to wear fur, it is our choice! I have visited the PETA website and I still believe that if I want to wear fur, it is MY BUSINESS, NOT YOURS. If I want to have a cow hide rug in my living room, SO WHAT!

marianne

Wearing fur is the most disgusting thing a human being can do…period !

Woman

Why don’t PETA go & take their crusade to Eskimos up north?? Let’s see how they respond.
