I would wear fake fur but not real fur. Animals dont have a say in whether you use their fur or not, and its not like they get to live after either.

We don’t kill and skin, or skin and then kill, in some cases, house cats and dogs for their furs because you’d go to jail for up to a year for animal cruelty.

What makes killing a mink for its skin acceptable?

I’m proud of Lindsay for doing the right thing. And if we’re going to debate the Bible and animals:
Ecclesiastes 3:19
For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity.
And how about some Genesis 9:9-11
And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you; and with every living creature that is with you, the birds, the cattle, and every beast of the earth with you. Of all that go out of the ark, even every beast of the earth. And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of the flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
God established a covenant with animals. Why shouldn’t we?

I agree with Nancy, BDAYGURL is a complete idiot.
She sounds exactly like the type of Daddy’s Little Girl that I despise, expecting to get whatever she wants.

I’m vegetarian and I do not wear fur/leather so I was pleased to hear of Linsay Lohan’s decision. Though she is not my role model, hopefully she will inspire others to choose a fur-free life.
“fur kicks ass” also left an unimportant, immature and selfish comment. I wish people wouldn’t take up space on these things when others could make relevent comments.

Alot of the people on here seem to think that leather is merely a by-product of meat consumption. In all actuality, most leather is made in India, and the cows are tortured only for their skin. Check out the movie Earthlings if you’d like to see the footage for yourself.

I would NEVER wear fur… not even fake fur. I think the whole idea is quite barbaric. I mean, we don’t have to kill and wear animals to show our status in society or power, do we? No. It’s ridiculous. We can keep just as warm in the winter without the murder of foxes, rabbits, seals, etc. Get mature; don’t wear fur.
