My Dinner With Ashley Judd
Living in Los Angeles means that brushes with fame are not all that unusual –- I’ve bumped into Leonardo DiCaprio at the supermarket and shopped for sweaters next to Halle Berry. But last week I actually got to dine with Ashley Judd, in town for the premiere of her new film Come Early Morning and to make a few appearances as the spokesmodel for American Beauty (a brand from Estee Lauder sold exclusively at Kohls). Well, I’m happy to report that she’s everything you’d want from a movie star. She’s elegant –- dressed in a stunning Rebecca Taylor gown, eating European style by daintily wielding her fork in her left hand, knife in her right, with the poise of Grace Kelly. And she ate every bite of her chocolate mousse, just like me. –Alison Singh Gee
