Sure, there’s plenty to be excited about with the release of the latest James Bond flick, Casino Royale — especially dashing new 007, Daniel Craig. But what would the Bond franchise be without the super agent’s feisty, female component, the “Bond girl?” As style icons – who can forget Ursula Andress’ famous white bikini from Dr. No — with sex appeal, the ladies of the James Bond films have rightfully earned their place in the pop pantheon. As we look at the new crop — Eva Green and Caterina Murino — we fondly recall our favorite Bond women (Honor Blackman as Pussy Galore or Halle Berry as Jinx) and even those who, er, “stirred” us the wrong way (uh, Denise Richards as nuclear physicist Dr. Christmas Jones). We already knew that Katie and Posh were tight, so it came as no surprise that the Beckhams would be attending the wedding festivities in Rome. But we’re not sure what to make of David Beckham’s wrap-style cardigan with horses that he wore upon his arrival into Italy. We know that Becks likes to play around with his looks — his ever-changing hair is legendary in England — and that Posh is quite the fashionista, but this sweater is more suited to Christmas caroling than to a Roman Holiday. Whaddya think? Would your guy ever wear a sweater like that?

After dressing Michael Jackson for the World Music Awards, Roberto Cavalli has moved on to dressing another pop icon — Christina Aguilera. He has created ten one-of-a-kind looks for the songstress to wear on her upcoming "Back to Basics" tour, kicking off in Houston on February 20, 2007.  All the costumes will have a vintage flare, referencing everything from 1940’s-era Marlene Dietrich to 1960’s bathing suits.  This isn’t the first time that Cavalli has dressed Christina, and he explains "I am fascinated by the evolution of Christina’s musical style, as well as her personal style, which has become increasingly glamorous and sophisticated with amazing attention to detail — all values I share in my design sensibility." The sketches are beautiful, but we can’t wait to see them actually on Christina!
