After years of looking virtually identical, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen distinguished themselves by changing up their hair color — Mary-Kate went for a deeper, redder blonde, while Ashley was platinum. But now, the trendsetting sisters have thrown us for a total loop — they have totally flip-flopped their looks! Mary-Kate has lightened up and Ashley has followed the brunette trend, going for a deep chocolate brown. With her sexy Calvin Klein gown, Ashley is working a vampier style, and it’s great to see Mary-Kate look so happy in her red chiffon dress. Can you tell the twins apart? Model and America’s Next Top Model alum (cycle 6) Joanie Dodds gives a weekly insider’s view on the hit show.

The episode kicked off with the girls taking an acting class with coach Tasha Smith in L.A. to learn to let out all of their emotions. My personal opinion is that Melrose is crazy, but she’s a damn good model. And I am so impressed at how Caridee really shows her honesty and passion for the competition, as well as being brave enough to reveal her secret about not wanting to live at one point in her life. Why Scarlett Johansson Loves Her Chip & Pepper Jeans

I love the look of low-rise jeans, but what I don’t love about them is the inevitable plumber’s crack I display whenever I so much as think about sitting down in a chair. Clearly, those denim-designing brothers Chip & Pepper have been hearing the same complaint. They recently introduced the Stella, a jean with an asymmetrical cut — short 7″ rise in the front, longer 11″ rise in the back. In other words, your booty stays right where it belongs – covered inside your pants. Two weeks ago in London, Chip ran into Scarlett Johansson, who bemoaned that she couldn’t find a pair of Stellas anywhere. He FedExed her a pair the next day, and she thanked him with a huge bouquet of flowers. Halle Berry loved her first pair so much she picked up three more. Uma Thurman got four pairs to wear on the set of her latest flick, In Bloom. Now that I’ve managed to snag myself a pair of Stellas, looks like my rear end is in rarefied company. — Alison Singh Gee

EXCLUSIVE: How Britney Got Her New Look!

Call it Extreme Makeover: Britney Spears edition. Not only did she debut her new body on The Late Show, but she also underwent a three-day total makeover with top stylists Rita Hazan and Ramy Gafni. “It was a major transformation,” star colorist Hazan told PEOPLE. First up was a bright, blonde bob for Britney. “She called me and her hair was a medium brown and we took it to really pretty light golden blonde. It signifies how sexy she is!” When Britney’s hair was finished, Gafni reshaped her eyebrows and did her makeup. “I met with her the Monday she did Letterman, at about 3 p.m.” he says. “And she had to be in the car on the way to the show at 3:45!” Gafni was pleasantly surprised at how laidback Britney was. “Most celebrities I’ve done will hold the mirror up and want to see every hair you tweeze. “She said, ‘I like a smokey eye and dewy skin but otherwise, do whatever you want.’” And the end result? A brand-new Britney.

Naomi Campbell Works It In Court

If practice makes perfect and considering the new accusations against her, Naomi Campbell is going to be the best-dressed woman in the legal system. And she’s starting out looking pretty good. The model headed to court in Manhattan yesterday to defend herself against charges of beating a maid for misplacing her jeans — but denim was not on the day’s agenda. Campbell emerged from the courts in a sharply tailored blazer, sleek grey dress, and cropped bob. She may not be able to control her temper, but she is definitely the master of her wardrobe. You Asked, We Found: Katie Holmes and Angelina Jolie’s Sunglasses

The sunglasses worn by Angelina Jolie on page 14 and Katie Holmes on page 13, in the November 20th issue of PEOPLE look to be identical. What brand are they? I’d love to know where I could obtain a pair. -Robin Lane, Nashua, NH

Both moms love their dark glasses, but they are not the same pair. Katie has been seen wearing an oval frame by Giorgio Armani, available at Solstices Sunglass Boutiques style number GA397/s, to step-daughter Isabella’s soccer games.
