J Brand Jeans: Why Angelina Jolie & I Love Them

Upon her arrival in India to begin filming The Mighty Heart, Angelina Jolie realized she had underpacked. She sent a fashion SOS back to the states to get more pairs of her favorite J. Brand jeans shipped to her (the 14″ cigarette leg in Ink and Jett). Who knew I had so much in common with Angelina — I, too, am a terrible underpacker and addicted to J. Brand jeans. I have three pairs now — the 10″ skinny in Ink(wearing them tucked into boots right now!), the 12″ in grey, and the exact 14″ jeans in Jett as Angelina (well, we don’t exactly wear the same size). The 14″ (ankle circumference) perfectly bridge the gap between the super-skinny jeans and my old beat-up bootcuts. Each pair has the perfect amount of stretch and no logos or branding on them — even celebrities want a little bit of anonymity in their lives. A word of warning: wash the black jeans before you wear them with a white shirt. And yes, I did learn that the hard way — hope Angelina didn’t have to, as well! — Melissa Liebling-Goldberg

What’s Borat’s Best Look?

The box office returns make one thing clear: Americans liiiiike fumbling faux Kazakh journalist Borat (otherwise known as comedian Sacha Baron Cohen). His moviefilm Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan held the No. 1 spot at the box office after opening last weekend. But the verdict is still out about one thing: Borat’s fashion sense. While he tells PEOPLE that he doesn’t need a stylist – “I able to put on my own shirt and antipants,” he says – he could use a some coaching. At least, he’s been trying to step it up a bit on the red carpet –witness these three dazzling looks. First, he goes Mr. Hollywood in a skinny tie, shades and a shiny suit. Then, there’s his “casual tourist” look. (Who doesn’t love a purple fannypack?) And finally, Borat models a barely-there chartreuse “banana thong.” (We’d love to see Mr. Shorts Matthew McConaughey wearing one.) Now we want to know: Which Borat look do you give your thumbs-up to?

How To Get Britney Spears’ Skating Look

When she decided to go skating at Rockefeller Center last night, Britney Spears grabbed some affordable and cozy duds from the Gap. Her over-sized striped sweater and knit cap are so adorable, we might have to buy them too. (Though we’d wear a shirt underneath!) All and all, we’re loving the new and improved Britney Spears that we’ve seen this week. Can’t wait to see what she wears (and does) next!

Click here for Britney’s Gap Striped Shawl Sweater, $68, and Gap Pom Pom Beanie, $24. And if you loved her L.A.M.B dress from the other night, click here to buy it for a steeper $565.
