Shop-N-Tell: Mike and Chris Leather Hoodie Jacket

Knee deep in some retail therapy at Ron Herman last week, I found the perfect item worthy of an investment — their exclusive Mike and Chris leather hoodie. Forget the traditional bomber, this chocolate leather hoodie is the perfect jacket to wear over a cute dress and boots for the winter. As soon as I spotted it, my mind immediately began racing with all the hot outfits it could complete. The saleswoman noticed me shamelessly drooling and told me that I was in good company. Angelina Jolie had worn the same brand jacket when she brought home Zahara, and Rachel Bilson didn’t take hers off at the Toronto Film Festival. If it is good enough for them, then it was definitely good enough for me. Now it just needs to get colder than 80 degrees in LA! — Amy Keith

Just to let you know they have a similar one at old navy for I think $140, but it only comes in black.

I like the zippers. But not the hoodie. A leather jacket with a hoodie? I think that takes away the edge. And it looks too wrinkly and brown? NAH

A better choice? There’s this GORGEOUS leather biker jacket that Mary Kate (or is it Ashley?) Ha, it’s Ashley wears. It looks like a shrunken, fitted biker and I think she pushes the sleeves up, which looks cool, but I wouldn’t do (it’ll ruin the leather) but Hey she’s rich. Anyway, everytime I see that pic of her in it, I LOVE IT!! Haven’t been able to find it in stores–I shop at Marshall’s! But I found a very similar one for only 73 dollars at Marshalls. We’re not rich. I’m not sure why People keeps putting these outrageously priced clothing pictures on here? Real women read this and real women can’t afford 800 dollars for one jacket! That’s someone’s rent or mortgage payment!

I love it. Mike & Chris are excellent quality. I heard that hautelook.com is about to start carrying men’s clothing and they are starting with Mike and Chris next monday. They have great deals on this site, sometimes 70% off
