Would You Buy a Wedding Dress At H&M?

In this week’s issue of PEOPLE magazine, we get an inside peak into the world of Viktor and Rolf, Dutch designers who have done everything from send ballroom dancers down the runway to selling perfume bottles shaped like grenades. And their next challenge is designing for the masses as they launch a limited edition line at H&M (that sadly won’t be sold online). Forget their signature white shirts and tuxedo pants– we are most intrigued that they designed bow-adorned wedding dresses to be sold for only $349! To celebrate the occasion, they threw an elaborate “wedding” bash in L.A., complete with a 15 foot wedding cake and guests such as Kanye West and Carmen Electra. Even fashionistas like Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen stepped up to give their congratulations to the designers and their “bride” (left). It was a big hit with the stars, but tell us: Would you buy a wedding dress at H&M?

As long as the quality was exquisite – why not?

Sus

Yes of course .. i like their design alot

Erica

Of course! As long as I liked it. My own wedding dress was given to me by a bride who wore it to her own wedding. What a bargain!

Stephanie K

If I liked the dress — why not??

Weddings are about the marriage to follow, not about how expensive your dress is.

Mags

I agree…as long as it’s made well and you love it…who cares how much you spend on a wedding dress? I spent less than $300 on my own.

Jennifer

Viktor and Rolf designed the wedding dress of one of the Dutch princesses. It was also adorned with bows so you’d be joining some Dutch royalty…

Jennifer

Why not, if you like it? Wear what you like on your wedding day. I got married in a pink dress, that definetly wasn’t from a bridal store. Wear what makes you happy. Who cares where you bought it.

MarénfromGermany

Sure! But I would never get married again ;) !!!

amee

omigod, yes. i need something affordable!

Chrissie

Never, never, never!! Although, it’s a great option for budget-conscious ladies who want something fashion-forward but can’t afford up-scale clothing. Don’t get me wrong, I shop H&M like a hound – but for my wedding? NEVER!
