Shopping Alert: Behnaz Sarafpour for Target

I have spent years lusting after Behnaz Sarafpour’s beautiful and elegant designs on Michelle Williams, Mandy Moore, and Amanda Peet. And I have also spent a good amount of time shopping the limited edition designer collections at Target, like Rafe and Paul & Joe. So, I am over the moon about Sarafpour’s new collection, officially debuting Nov. 1 (select pieces are already online). Who wouldn’t want her chic lace minidress (left), or her perfect-for-holiday-parties silk shell (right,) $25? And the accessories are fantastic too- don’t miss her too-cute NYC charm bracelet, $13, and brocade clutch, $17. My shopping cart runneth over! Rachel Bilson and Claire Danes have already snapped up the collection- what are you waiting for? — Melissa Liebling-Goldberg

although the dresses arent horrible, i would def. not go out wearing them!

Why does she feel the need to “slum it”? Guess it’s ok, but seems to me to be a sign the high-end isn’t selling enough and now must go low-end to make up for it. I’m sorry but I simply don’t believe the “I want to reach all the people” rhetoric. They want to make money – end of story. Sounds like Isaac Mizrahi re-visited (didn’t believe it from him either. Does anyone remember Halston’s foray into Penney’s? Not such a good idea.

It looks like you have to be super skinny to pull off the black and white one; and if you have a little meat on your bones, you might look pregnant in the purple one! Please, make clothes for normal sized people!

I work at Target and I have to say that I have not been a fan of any of the Go International lines. I don’t even like Isaac’s line. I just don’t think any of the pieces of any of the collections are worth it to buy.

I respect everyone’s opinion. To each his own. Personally, I love the GO International lines at Target. I am a big fan of designer fashions (ala Vogue magazine), but cannot afford the real thing. Kudos to these designers for making the effort to reach ALL of us. Of course they make a pretty penny off of them. But I truly believe that they are also thrilled to know that the average Joe can afford to wear their lines.

Im an extremley skinny, tallish girl, woh these dresses would look great on with a pair of black leggings and black flats.
I personally love them and am planning on getting some this afternoon !

I am waiting lol! Oooooooooh that lace minidress is lovely, but the other stuff is blah.

AnnieM

It’s about money, not the public. As for the dresses, they are so-so. Chanel they are not.

Anita

Where do we find her affordable line these days!? I think the Target line was a limited edition! I love her Stuff!
