How Much Would You Pay for Glasses?

For those of us who wear glasses, finding the right frames is critical– and usually a chunk of change. We think Alain Mikli glasses fit all the necessary requirements of being chic, comfortable, and classic, as do Kate Bosworth, Angela Bassett and Jamie Lynn Sigler. But their newest line is as over-the-top luxe as it gets– every pair of the Horn collection (left) is handmade out of buffalo horn with platinum and 22 karat gold details, retailing between $2100-$2900. Wow! Not for us, but we can’t wait to see what stars start sporting them. Tell us: what is the most you would pay for glasses?

I just paid 300.00 for a pair and wouldn’t pay more than that. 2100?? That is insane. I don’t care how much money I have, I wouldn’t pay that much for a pair of glasses since there is a good chance I will lose them anyway. This pair I bought was like, um, my 4th pair??

never over 5000 dollar but i think anything under that is reasonable. 2000 might be pushing the cheap button.

Lucy, 2000 might be pushing the cheap button?? Were you just being sarcastic? For average working class people, 2000 is insane to pay for glasses! I spent $400 on my last pair and I couldn’t believe I paid that much for them!

I think I saw an exact copy of these at WallMart for $49.00. Pluss frames they can’t run more than $200. It’s hard to believe what people will spend money on when they have more than they know what to do with.

I paid 350 for my versace glasses and I love them. The good thing about it is when I have to get new prescriptions I can just turn them in to sunglasses!!

Lucy, it must be nice to have more money then you know what to do with, concidering you think $2000 on a pair of glasses is cheap!

I paid 500 for my D&G glasses and that was just sooo much….I would never pay 2000,I would prefer a nice rinf for those money instead:)

I paid $220 for my last pair and I usually wear contacts but on days where I wear the glasses, I feel super chic and smart !
