Joanie’s Take: The Inside Scoop on America’s Next Top Model

Model and America’s Next Top Model alum (cycle 6) Joanie Dodds gives a weekly insider’s view on the hit show.

This episode was all about being sexy (not sleazy). I loved it! It kicked off with Tyra herself photographing the girls. It was all about sexy with a side of scary. The girls wear these great opaque colored contacts and have crazy makeup and hair — all very vampire. It reminds me a lot of our “crying” photo shoot last season. I loved CariDee!! She gets so into her roles. Bravo!

Then it’s time to bring in the fabulous Dita Von Teese (bet her husband Marilyn Manson would have loved the earlier shoot) to teach them to be sexy with props and almost strip! What’s Lindsay’s Best Look? Natural or Glam?

Many of us spend our early twenties playing with our looks, and Lindsay Lohan is no exception. From changing her hair color to going curly to changing looks at one event, Lohan loves to experiment with her appearance, including her makeup. She went natural and neutral at the Venice Film Festival, but recently hyped up the glamour quotient with dark, glittery liner and bold red lips at a fashion party in Paris. Tell us: which look do you like better on Lindsay? Natural or glam?

Guy Style: Are Three-Piece Suits Hot?

Remember just a few years back when all the It-boys were wearing vintage t-shirts and trucker hats? No more. Not only have they cleaned up their act, but they are rocking a very classic classic look– the three-piece suit. Justin Timberlake (left) left his tie at home while rocking his 3-piece YSL suit at the VMAs, while Ashton Kutcher (middle) mixed up his Dolce & Gabbana suit with a boldly pinstriped vest at The Guardian premiere in Berlin. Even better, the look works really well when paired with jeans, as shown by Daniel Craig (right). And come on, who is a better authority on dressing smoothly than the new James Bond?

Paris Hilton’s New Gig: Watchmaker!

Paris Hilton‘s CD sales may be falling short of her high expectations but the heiress-turned-pop-princess-wannabe is hardly singing the blues. Hilton recently launched a line of trendy timepieces at L.A.’s Kitson boutique. Available in three styles and several colors, the watches come packaged in pretty pink boxes–complete with a Paris Hilton warranty card. The new PH watch line retails for a reasonable prices– the Amaze is $100 and the Dual Face Bikini is $130, a far cry from the $100,000 limited edition diamond line of watches she launched last year.
