Mary-Kate & Lindsay Rock Out In Eighties Tees

Even though they were both born in 1986, Lindsay Lohan and Mary-Kate Olsen are paying homage to some of the decade’s biggest musical acts. Lohan (left) headed out for a day of shopping in Los Angeles recently wearing a Motley Crue t-shirt (the band released “Dr. Feelgood” in 1989). Olsen went for the complete 80’s look by pairing her iconic “Frankie says Relax” t-shirt (Frankie Goes to Hollywood released “Relax” in 1983) with skinny jeans with zippers at the ankles. They aren’t the only young fans of 80’s pop t-shirts — Jessica Simpson (born in 1980) was recently spotted in a t-shirt emblazoned with “The Police.” As long as no one starts wearing Flock of Seagulls haircuts, we think this trend is totally rad. Do you agree? Will you be rocking out in eighties tees, too?

Jessica

i like the 80’s shirts if you know how to style them and i think even if you don’t listen to there music that doesn’t mean you can’t wear them. But i think it looks better on Lindsey lohan than mary-kate. personally i think there both ugly! does anyone agree?

Joy

Holy God – you mean when I was a dorky seventh grader in my Motley Crue t and zip-ankle jeans I was actually cool? Could’ve fooled me!

If anyone wants some of those 80’s rock t’s to emulate the look, I’ve got loads of them in my parent’s basement. I may drag out a few of the more interesting visually ones just for nostalgia (can anyone say Moscow Music Peace Festival) but I don’t know if I could wear them with the same intensity I did back then.

Kate

Lindsay’s not getting fat, she’s getting healthy. Girls that are too skinny are disgusting, along with skinny jeans. I don’t like this look at all.

Holly

I think vintage t-shirts are very cool. Although I think Lindsay Lohan and Mary-Kate Olsen are very messy dressers, I do like the t-shirts.

Andrea

I thought I was the only one who thought skinny jeans look like crap. Thank God there are others. Pleeeeease.. no more skinny jeans and no more trashy band shirts. They have money! Buy something classy for crying out loud…

I believe that Mary-Kate is the Queen of orginality.
But Lindsay,
well…
She simply copies other girls’ styles and puts them all together in an ulgy asemble of leggings and ankle boots

Get your own style Lindsay!

WHAT! How can anyone call lindsay lohan fat?? Yet again I have to say that here in Europe it`s all “been there, done that”-style. We are moving to the 1990s now. Grunge is back! Think Nirvana! Band t-shirts have been big here for 5 years and I love them still, wear them almost everyday. My favourite is a white Mew-shirt…. Mary-Kate is a style icon and Lindsay is just beautiful!

Camilla

I brought a t-shirt like MK’s in Denmark three years ago. Seriously. The 80s were back, but they left again.
