Get the Look of Marie Antoinette

Marie Antoinette opens in movie theaters today, and the buzz is already growing fast and furious about Milena Canonero’s exquisitely executed costumes. Director Sofia Coppola gave PEOPLE the scoop: “The costumes had to be an important element in the story because Marie Antoinette was so into fashion. We obviously based it on that period, but then took certain license.” We think blending the baroque and the modern is a great idea, and certainly won’t be surprised when we see celebs sporting Marie Antoinette inspired pieces on the red carpet soon. In the meantime, click through to the next page to see a few products you can get right now that nod to the young onscreen queen.

This movie is so going to be a top box office hit, I love the fashion in this movie very regal like.

AnnieM

Kirsten looks beautiful in the costumes (but that doesn’t surprise me – she’d look good in burlap).

Susan

I am very excited to see this movie. I want to see the clothes and the sets. I really don’t care if the plot is weak, I am going for the costumes. Now if only I can convince my husband to see it…

i was surprised to hear all the ‘marie-antoinette’ buzz around lately, cuz this movie came out in france at least three months ago and i thought people hated it cuz i never heard anything about, but now i see why. btw the movie was great, not a cinematic masterpiece, but the clothes and music were sooo good, loved it and so did my boyfriend. not a chick flick at all.

kristen dunst is so homely looking, even with all that make-up and the gorgeous costume.

Allison T.

The costumes look fantastic, but Kirsten Dunst STILL looks bland!

Jackie

I don’t want to see this movie. Kirsten Dunst is an awful actress. I don’t know why they went with her.

Amee

I am so excited to see this movie!! I want to know how to get a dress like that. Does anyone know if they will be selling the wardrobe from the movie? If they do how do you find out about it?

Isabel

I went to see this film in new york screening. It was not that good. I saw many ppl fall asleep, so did I.

As pick-ee as I am with clothing, though I have a few hit and misses myself, I have always love the Marie Antoinette look. This is fab… jeans to make it hip… slacks to make it elegant.. sling backs or boots… with jewels or without… it’s abosultely fabulous!!!
