Joanie’s Take: The Inside Scoop on America’s Next Top Model

Model and America’s Next Top Model alum (cycle 6) Joanie Dodds gives a weekly insider’s view on the hit show.

What a great episode!! I haven’t laughed so hard in a long time. Janice Dickinson, Michelle’s coming “out,” and a celebrity couple photo shoot?! Brilliant.

In the first challenge, the girls had to be entertainment reporters at a hot event, and were coached by Entertainment Tonight correspondent Mark Steines. The next night, the girls hit the red carpet where they met their interview subject, former ANTM judge Janice Dickinson. Not shying away from the hard questions, Brooke asked Janice why she is so mean. Brooke has what it takes personality-wise and is going to do so well in the Cover Girl commercials (I’m hoping for one soon). Even though I would love to see Melrose take a hike (are you as annoyed by her as me?), she wins the challenge. Click through to the next page to read the rest of Joanie’s Take on this episode.

Victoria Beckham Sounds Off to Harper’s Bazaar

We may think of Victoria Beckham, aka Posh, as the consumate fashionista, but in her recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she downplays her glam image: “You know, I’m not the best-looking girl. I’ve had to really work hard.” Even though she credits her fellow Spice Girls for having “brought my personality out,” there is no reunion is in the works. Coming off the success of her perfume and jeans for Rock & Republic, Victoria is entirely focused on her new clothing line DVB, launching in January 2007. “I don’t want to be getting on the stage anymore doing those kinds of things. I love to sit here and draw and to meet with designers to travel and get inspiration. I’m enjoying that a lot more.” And as for her appeal to famous friends like Katie Holmes? “I’m a girls’ girl. I think that girls want to go shopping with me.”

Update: Armani to Design Katie Holmes’ Wedding Gown

The rumors were true! An Armani spokesperson tells us, “Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have asked their longtime friend, Giorgio Armani, to design all of the wedding attire for their upcoming marriage.” It certainly won’t be the first time she has donned a white Armani gown– Holmes and fiance Tom Cruise were dressed by him for Oprah Winfrey’s Legends ball last year (left). Now, the real question is when is the wedding? Tell us: what do you think of Katie’s dress choice?
