Has Janet Jackson been watching Victor/Victoria recently? Jackson was the epitome of ladylike in a classic little black dress at the 9th Annual Lili Claire Foundation Benefit on Saturday night (left). But she pulled a complete role reversal, emerging in a full-on double-breasted suit and tie combo for the Movieline Hollywood Style Awards on Sunday night. Post-weight loss, Ms. Jackson certainly has the figure to wear whatever she pleases, but we can’t help but scratch our heads over her gender-bending wardrobe choices. Tell us: which look do you like better on Janet? Feminine dress or masculine-inspired suit?

A recent Stanford University study caught my eye — according to it, about 1 in 20 Americans suffers from a shopping addiction. The researchers even gave it a scary, clinical name: Compulsive Buying Disorder. (Uh, in my mind, “disorder” just applies to the state of my closet after a shopping spree.) But perhaps I’m not the most objective person on this matter. I first realized I had a real problem when I was moving from London back to New York, and for insurance purposes I had to itemize and appraise all the items in my closet (full disclosure: it wasn’t even a closet, it was a second bedroom in the flat). I almost passed out when I saw the total… But I do feel better knowing that I am not the only one who shops to excess — or even just loves to shop, like Jessica Alba (left) and Kelly Osbourne (right). Skinny pants are the hottest thing right now… For women. But some men are following the trend, too! As part of his edgy makeover for his band, 30 Seconds to Mars, Jared Leto has taken a cue from rockers of the past (Steven Tyler, we’re lookin’ at you) and has embraced some seriously tight pants! And Leto’s not the only guy who has been slipping into some really super-skinny jeans and trousers. Dave Navarro, Fabrizio Moretti, Jude Law (left– and we’ve seen those jeans before) and more are squeezing into the thigh-choking pants. File this under ingenius! Lindsay Lohan, who’s been sporting a bandaged left wrist ever since taking a tumble during New York Fashion Week, is back on her fashion-forward heels. LL showed up at Thursday’s T-Mobile Sidekick bash in Beverly Hills with her very own latest sidekick — a fishnet wrist cover that matched her black-and-white babydoll dress. This got us thinking, perhaps the actress should consider whipping up a line of accessories called… Injurista? After the Fall?
