I think she looks great. She has constant media attention and scrutiny over her body and looks. If I were her, I’d try and cover up when I went out too! Who wants that kind of pressure to be super skinny and toned ALL the time. If she feels good in what she is wearing (and I think she should!) then so be it. For someone who has been through a lot over the past year, she always seems to have a smile on her face and a good attitude towards the media. Good for her.

I think the way you dress reflects how you feel. I know that when I don’t feel like being outwardly friendly, I dress down in a more unaproachable way. Lately, I’ve been over the whole Jessica Simpson thing. Not to be rude but, people only really care about her personal life. I love to wear black! Black makes up about 75% of my wardrobe. But she wears bright colors so well it’s kind of a waste to be so monochromatic. I think I may feel differently if I thought that the pieces she’s pictured in were tasteful, which I don’t (I do love that double breasted coat though). I’m not one of those people who claims Jessica is fat or unattractive, she is a beautiful girl and she seems nice. But enough is enough, she needs to take control of her team (Dad, publicist, etc.) and let them know that her private life is off limits. She used to be this really grounded person and now she is so media humgry it’s pathetic. I don’t know what went on between her and Nick, I just know that one of them seems to have healthy relationships with family and new love interests (Nick) while the other has a weird, insanely controlling Dad who has done his best to make it clear that he never liked her spouse. i have always loved the color black and i have to say that i think the color really looks nice with her skin tone, but the syaing less is more needs to be applied here. she has on extremely too much make up which is not needed since she is so pretty. it seems to be caked on and not blended properly. as for the weight gain issue, i dont see it. i think her weight is fine, but these comments are why so many women have issues with their weight. if young girls read these comments and see her as thin as she is being called fat, what will they think about themselves(if they are bigger, which isnt hard to be)

FYI, I don’t think Jessica looks fat by any means. She looks healthy and she looks good. I think if she’s added a few pounds lately, that may be her motivation for wearing all the black. Who cares if she gained weight….why can’t people let this go. This is why some have complex issues, because there are people who scrutnize every single thing, about a persons body.

On another note…I love the first picture of her. I am one not to like ankle boots, but her outfit looks great. The middle picture with the ski jacket, well, that just looks like a little too much going on. I don’t know, the boots and skinny jeans and the jacket, it just looks like too much skin tight clothes on her body, and that jacket just looks too weird. The last photo, it’s so hard to tell. Personally, I don’t like it. Is that a black body suit she’s wearing? I don’t like the little foo-foo going on at the bottom of the pants, and I don’t like the black socks or the ankle boots. I guess it’s great that she’s wearing bra for support, but I don’t wanna see the outline of it. And I happen to like her short hair.

I think she’s trying to go into a sophistication mode and switch it up, and I just think she’s going about it the wrong way, she just can’t seem to find the classy and sexy side of her clothes, something that meets right in the middle. But I can respect her covering up and not having her boobs hanging over the top of her dress. Black is a great color, and you can make it look really fun and stylish. I’m saying all this, and I don’t really care for Jessica.

When did this opinion poll become an excuse to be positively nasty? Seriously, some of these comments are beyond vicious. Jessica Simpson fat? Puh-lease! I bet she’s tinier than 95% of the commenters here! And maybe her current album/movie haven’t been as successful as she’d like… at least she’s done them, how many people can say that? The truth is, she’s just trying to figure life out like the rest of us.
For the record, all-black isn’t my favorite look, but she’s lovely, regardless of what she’s wearing.

I personally believe that in the first picture she is still sexy. In the 2nd pic it’s true that the ski jacket is a bit excessive for 78 degree weather. However, everyone has their own style. And noone should judge another person. And in the 3rd pic she looks awful. It could be alot of different factors that have caused this sudden change in style. Change is inevitable.

I totally agree with Coco. Jessica is hiding because her career is going down the drain. Forbes just named her on their most overexposed celebrity list, and on the MSN home page theres a whole article about her (and others on the Forbes list), which talks about her overexposure and lack of talent.
I’m sorry Jess fans, but she is not same person you fell in love with on Newlyweds. She sold her soul for fame, and the black clothing and strange behavior on her press junkets, reflect this.

It appears to me that she is trying to tone down her look. She has been so flashy with bright colors and revealing outfits which, though they looked fabulous, attracted a lot of attention. Especially after the whole John Mayer incident, I think she’s trying to be more low-key and prove that she’s sophisticated and not all about the spotlight.

I say ditch it! Black is just an aweful color to wear, infact black & even white is not even a color. I don’t think it is fashionable at all(unless it is mixed with another color, lets say red for an example; then thats okay and would be quite fashionable) and consider it to be more of a goth/mourning style really. Jessica is probably depressed and is wearing black cause of her divorce with Nick, and she is not really over him; or she is wearing black cause she thinks it’s stylish. One or the other it’s her choice, which is probably nothing but a faze really.
