Jessica’s All-Black Look: Gloomy or Grown Up?

Is Jessica feeling gloomy? Or is she turning Goth? ‘Cause lately, our favorite bubbly blond has ditched her normally colorful and flirty wardrobe for black, black, and more black. From L.A. to New York to London, Jessica has been in head-to-toe-black — and we do mean that literally! In addition to embracing her darkside, she also seems more covered up. She headed out for the after-party for Employee of the Month (middle) in knee-high boots, black jeans, black turtleneck, and a Dior ski jacket — and the temperature outside was a warm 78 degrees! Is she trying to keep in step with fall’s more somber palette, or is this meant to look more mature and sophisticated? Tell us: what do you think of Jessica’s new all-black wardrobe? To all those people who say that it is none of our businees how she looks: It actually is. She relies on her fans to buy her music and watch her movies. If her fans don’t like her, or think she looks awful lately, or think she is a dumb blonde, then they will not watch her movies or buy her music. Her whole career depends on what other people think of her, just like every other star in hollywood. So I think that we have every right to comment on how she looks, and lately she looks horrible. It is a shame, that she started looking bad since Nick left, especially since he has never looked better. She needs to fire her stylist, her makeup artist and her Ken, for making her look like that. Serously, the bob is not supposed to be fussed with! Just chill out Jess! You are trying way to hard to make an impression! And who wears a ski jacket when it is 78* out???

I think that the outfits look classy. I seriously doubt she’s gaining weight. She’s not the only star who’s been dressing in all black.. both J-Lo and Christina Aguillera (sp?) have pics on line wearing all black.

Jessica should take a page from Nick’s book–which should be easy since she has tried to take evrything else from him–and go under the radar now. Sometimes overexposure is worse than no exposure at all.

Jessica Simpson looks like a man. And also has man shoulders. No matter what she wears (all black or not) she will never look beautiful. Especially a “natural’ beauty. she is fake and her personality disgusts me!

I can’t beleive some of these comments. Jealousy people, I tell you. If the girls wants to wear BLACK why does the Media have to make it into an issue. If she was wearing RED I bet they’d say she’s in love again, oh wait they’ve already said that. (which wasn’t true) She should wear whatever she wants without anyone judging her. Don’t we? If she’s gained weight, why does it have to be that she’s trying to hide something, thats her business. If she’s feeling sad, she’s 26 divorced, album and movie didn’t do well, thats her bussiness. Jeez people… I must say I agree with Jamie about the Media ruining the relatonships of the celeberties, (they’re not the total reason, but they don’t help either) they are human too, just like you and I. I personally think she looks great! Also she looks a little more mature and grown up with her short hair and just maybe she’s ready to portray that role and not the ditzy blonde everyone likes to see her as. I’m a Nick and Jessica fan and I wish the both of them the best in their future.

By the way Jen, Nick didn’t leave, she lefted him. Remember! People put yourself in her shoes. (even though you don’t like her, try) How would you feel if all of a sudden you saw pictures of your husband whom absolutely adores you (so he says; still an Nick fan) floating around in the media and every magazine. Reguardless of how we may think she was treating him, she must of been doing something right, he stayed. Nevertheless, something happened and in my opinion I feel that Nick is the one who contributed to the marriage going towards a divorce. (not all his fault, but a little) When it was too late he wanted to go to counseling by then she probably felt betrayed. Yeah yeah some people may be saying what goes around comes around. Two wrongs don’t make a right. If he knew he didn’t want to be with her anymore do it the right way, not the way she found out. Now my fello viewers how would you have reacted???

I love to wear black! Black makes up about 75% of my wardrobe. But she wears bright colors so well it’s kind of a waste to be so monochromatic. I think I may feel differently if I thought that the pieces she’s pictured in were tasteful, which I don’t (I do love that double breasted coat though). I wish she would stop trying to prove that she’s grown up and moved on and just go back to the way she looked in The Newlyweds. Then again, if I had a father like that i’d want to look like I was in constant mourning too.
