Trend Worth Trying: Polka Dot Dresses

As seen in our Would You Wear It gallery, polka dots always have a sweet, retro feel — and combined with swingy skirts and bare necklines, they are the perfect way to keep wearing dresses into fall. We love Eva Longoria’s one-of-a-kind Nanette Lepore dress (left), but since we can’t buy that one, here are some other versions of the trend to try:

For a more work-appropriate version of Eva’s dress, check out these shirtdresses from Nanette Lepore, $320, and Arden B, $128.

If you like a little more support, try a halter version from J. Crew, $250, or XOXO, $94.

To get the look for a steal, try Forever 21, $28.

And the look works on all body types. For plus sizes, try this Donna Ricco halter dress, $148.

Jessica’s All-Black Look: Gloomy or Grown Up?

Is Jessica feeling gloomy? Or is she turning Goth? ‘Cause lately, our favorite bubbly blond has ditched her normally colorful and flirty wardrobe for black, black, and more black. From L.A. to New York to London, Jessica has been in head-to-toe-black — and we do mean that literally! In addition to embracing her darkside, she also seems more covered up. She headed out for the after-party for Employee of the Month (middle) in knee-high boots, black jeans, black turtleneck, and a Dior ski jacket — and the temperature outside was a warm 78 degrees! Is she trying to keep in step with fall’s more somber palette, or is this meant to look more mature and sophisticated? Tell us: what do you think of Jessica’s new all-black wardrobe? Dig it or ditch it?
