Trend Worth Trying: Leopard-Print Bags

10/06/2006 at 10:06 AM ET

In this week’s issue of PEOPLE magazine, leopard-print bags pop up on the arms of celebs like Jessica Simpson and J. Lo. We already love the look of leopard-print dresses, so why not let your bag add a wild side to any outfit? Here are our picks for positively purr-fect purses at every price.

Splurge like a star, and get Mena Suvari‘s Valentino bag — for a whopping $2150!

Like Jennifer’s Dolce & Gabbanna bag (left)? Try this slightly lower-priced D&G stunner, $995

Looking for a more conservative option? Try J. Crew‘s bag with chain and leather handles, $395.

Not ready to commit to the look? Try this one from Bebe, with just a hint of leopard-print, $239.

Take your animal instincts out for the night with this Ann Taylor frame bag, $90

Or take your spots to work with this adorable laptop bag from Target, $40.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU AND THANK YOU FOR LISTENING TO YOUR LOYAL BLOGGERS!!!! I’m glad that you are including options for all tyoes of budgets, if you want to spend a whopping amount, good, if you just want something cute and economic there’s an option too.
About the trend, i kind of like it, my first item was a 10.00 belt from H&M, its cute and it adds a little chic touch to my7 putfits. I checked out the $30.00 pair of shoes form Target (Isaac M.) but decided not to buy them (nothing wrong with them, its just that I rather wear high heals ( im ony 5’3″).
Remember, this is just a trend and in a couple of weeks perhaps months is going to be out.

this outfit is a miss for J. Ho–the shoes and the bag both?!?! overkill is really something she’s good at.

Oh, I absolutely LOVE this article. I have been lusting after a leopard print bag for several weeks, but didn’t know where to look as I clearly don’t have J. Lo’s budget. Having this list is so totally cool! Now I know where to look and can satisfy my leopard craving without going bankrupt! Kudos to you!!!

I love this trend(Leopard-Print Bags) aswell as the Leopard-Print dresses, they’re just fun, fun, fun.

This is a woman who wears fur AND includes it in her clothing line. She has no respect for animals nor a conscience. Knowing her, it’s real and not a print. ugh

Does anyone else see how JLO has aged in the last, what two years?? Wow. She looks old. And her frumpy styles too? What happened. I think Marc forbids her from being a hoochy like she was. I thought she dressed like a Hooch before, but I think I like that style better than this old lady crap! Her 15 minutes are just about over I guess. On to the next young, overhyped hoochiemama. Oh, and leopard bags are cool. I have one in my closet that I whip out whenever they get hot.

I see it too Erica! LOL I agree with you totally.

Does anyone know where I can buy this bag? The name of it ? The price??? I really really want it!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Jennifer looks younger when she dyed her hair into darker color. She really looked older when she had lighter hair. But yes, I agree with these two girls, J.Lo really gets older. She’s 37years old afterall…
