How Much Would You Pay for Jeans?

In the new issue of PEOPLE StyleWatch (The Ultimate Jeans Guide, on newstands now) you’ll find denim options for every style and budget, from $30 Old Navy flares to $850 limited-edition, handmade ones from Stitch’s. And what do you get for your money? The magazine breaks it down by fabric, wash, details, even the labor involved in making them. For the record, $850 buys you jeans that are handwashed in antique barrels, spun from exclusive Japanese fibers, and have buttons with black pearl centers (and they better make your butt look good.) Gwyneth’s Minis: Sexy or Scandalous?

Is Gwyneth Paltrow secretly auditioning for Peter Pan? The lovely blonde has been stepping out in little more than a long tunic and tights lately. Is this just a refusal to deal with trendy leggings or skinny jeans? She certainly has the legs for the look, but we’re just concerned about a strong gust of wind leaving the actress a bit overexposed (especially in her sheer stockings). What do you think of Gwyneth’s look? Is it sexy or scandalous?

Talkin’ Hair With Eva, Jessica and Carmen

What to wear to a party for Hollywood’s hottest hairstylist? A dramatic new ‘do, of course. At the Sept. 29 opening of Ken Paves’s new Beverly Hills salon, his clients (left to right) Carmen Electra, Eva Longoria and Jessica Simpson gabbed about their latest looks. “Kenny was like, ‘you need to go blonde,’ said Longoria, whose golden locks came courtesy of a wig by Hair Do, Paves and Simpson’s line. “He makes me change my hair color because of the color blouse I’m wearing that day. I enjoyed being a blonde for the summer, but I’m going to slowly go back darker because I love my dark hair. It was fun to change it up for a while.” Simpson, who had been wearing extensions earlier that night, sported a shorter look, a decision she made, she said, while shooting the video for her single, “I Belong to Me.” In the video, “I’m bawling crying and I take nail clippers and I’m hacking away at my hair, which is why my hair’s short now,” she said. “I love it!” And as for the glam, honey-blonde Electra? “I really trust [Ken],” she said. “It’s fun to play dress up.”

What’s Up With Mary-Kate’s Sunglasses?

Mary-Kate Olsen is definitely known for her out-there fashion choices, and the outfits she’s been wearing during Fashion Week in Paris, which she has been attending with sister Ashley, are no exception. But what really caught our eye were her vintage Chanel sunglasses, emblazoned with the brand’s name and location. We know that Chanel and Parisian style are synonymous by now, but this may be taking her brand devotion a bit too far. Tell us: What do you think of Mary-Kate’s sunglasses? Would you wear them?
