Liv Tyler: Back and Better than Ever

We’ve watched Liv Tyler grow up from starring in Aerosmith videos as a rebellious teenager to starring in the Lord of the Rings as an elfin beauty. But our favorite role for her is just being herself — a beautiful and low-key mother and wife. Usually we see her staying out of the spotlight and just living her life in New York, but recently she has stepped back on the red carpet, looking more beautiful than ever. Always a woman with curves, she plays up her great figure and height (5’10″) with elegant dresses that are both glamorous (Marchesa, right) and ladylike (Derek Lam, left). As she approaches 30 next year, Liv is looking better than ever!

Get in Bed with Michael Kors

Project Runway judge Michael Kors beams into our living rooms every Wednesday, but now the designer can crash our bedrooms, too. In addition to his womens, mens, and accessory lines, the award-winning designer released a collection of luxury bedding that will be sold exclusively at Bloomingdale’s starting this month. We are in love with the sleek Tribeca set and the animal print Park Avenue set, which reminds us a little of Uli’s designs. The 350-thread count sheets will go beautifully with the Serta mattresses guest Runway guest judge Vera Wang created. Talk about not wanting to get out of bed! We love getting cozy with our show favorites (AND that doesn’t include the acid-tongued Jeffrey). Now, if only Tim Gunn would design a line of pajamas… — Mai Dinh

It’s Night and Day for Kirsten Dunst

Yesterday afternoon, Kirsten Dunst hit the streets of LA looking like a typically hip 24-year old in skinny jeans and a t-shirt, adding her own quirky spin with narrow suspenders. But just a few hours later, she looked positively regal in a Christian Lacroix chiffon gown at a special screening of her new film Marie Antoinette, in which she plays the title role. Gone are the messy ponytail and bare face of the afternoon, replaced by artfully pulled back locks and perfectly rosy cheeks. It’s amazing what a big difference a few hours can make (Just ask Jessica Simpson!). Tell us: Which look do you prefer on Kirsten: casual or glam?

Buy Guitar God Jewelry For a Good Cause

Want jewelry from John Mayer? Forget the elaborate “We’re dating!” campaign. Just check out these Relix Bands crafted by Azu Studio from the actual used guitar strings of Mr. Wonderland himself and over 50 fellow charity-minded rockers like Adam Levine and Ben Harper. Each bracelet is $150, with profits going towards education, voter registration, hunger relief and anti-poverty campaigns. With a tiny sterling silver band to fasten the strings, these bracelets are a dainty twist on this fall’s hardware trend—and are way more fun than waving a lighter. Old schoolers may covet the Carlos Santana ($200) or Keith Richards ($500) wrist wear, while indie chicks will drool over selections from Death Cab for Cutie ($99) and The Shins ($125). The best part? You can customize any bracelet by picking your favorite artist’s strings and adding on pearls, gold or precious stones for about $60-$150 more. — Anne Marie Cruz
