Tom Cruise Suits Up for Game Day

While we love a man in a perfectly tailored suit, a blazer can come off as stuffy in certain situations. Lately, Tom Cruise has opted for unusually formal attire at his sporting events—most recently wearing a sport coat to his daughter Isabella’s soccer game in Beverly Hills and a suit and tie to the Washington Redskins football game he attended with Katie Holmes and son Connor. We applaud Tom for not showing up in body paint or a generic team t-shirt, but his buttoned-up, collared shirts reminds us of his uptight Jerry Maguire character pre-epiphany (and wardrobe change). Doesn’t he just want to relax and not worry about spilling beer or dropping mustard on an Armani shirt? Tell us: what do you think of his look? Tom can afford to wear what he wants and he can afford to have his suits laundered after every time he wears them. If he wants to wear a suit, that’s fine with me. He needs to make some amends for his past behavior and lend an air of respectability to his demeaner. I come from a background where a suit actually looks good on a man.
